Հայաստանը համաձայնություն է տվել մասնակցել դեկտեմբերի 15-ին Բրյուսելում Արևելյան գործընկերության գագաթնաժողովի շրջանակներում Երևան-Բաքու բարձր մակարդակով հանդիպմանը:

Այս մասին հայտնեց ՀՀ ԱԳՆ մամուլի խոսնակ Վահան Հունանյանը:

Նոյեմբերի 19-ին ԵՄ-ն հաղորդագրություն էր տարածել, որում նշված էր, որ Եվրոպական խորհրդի նախագահ Շառլ Միշելը նոյեմբերի 19-ին հեռախոսազրույց է ունեցել Հայաստանի վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի և Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևի հետ ՝ շարունակելու այս շաբաթ ավելի վաղ տեղի ունեցած քննարկումները տարածաշրջանում տիրող իրավիճակի և Արևելյան գործընկերության գագաթնաժողովի նախապատրաստման համատեքստում, որը տեղի կունենա Բրյուսելում դեկտեմբերի 15-ին:

«Նախագահ Շառլ Միշելն առաջարկել է ընդունել վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին և Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիեւին ՝ Բրյուսելում Արեւելյան գործընկերության գագաթնաժողովի շրջանակներում հանդիպելու համար: Առաջնորդները համաձայնել են հանդիպել Բրյուսելում քննարկելու համար տարածաշրջանում տիրող իրավիճակը և լարվածությունը հաղթահարելու ուղիները հանուն կայուն և բարգավաճ Հարավսյին Կովկասի, ինչին աջակցում է ԵՄ-ն»,- ասված էր  հայտարարության մեջ։

Նշվում էր, որ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի ղեկավարները պայմանավորվել են պաշտպանության նախարարների մակարդակով ուղիղ կապ ստեղծել՝ որպես միջադեպերի կանխման մեխանիզմ։

Բրյուսելում նախատեսված գագաթնաժողովին մասնակցությունը հաստատել է նաև Ադրբեջանի ԱԳՆ-ն:
