ԱՄՆ-ի Կրոնական Ազատության Միջազգային Հանձնաժողովն արտահերթ հայտարարության մեջ անհանգստություն է հայտնում Թուրքիայում կրոնական փոքրամասնությունների իրավիճակի վատթարացման վերաբերյալ: Թուրքիայում երբեմն նույնիսկ COVID-19 վարակի տարածման համար հաճախ մեղադրում են հայերին և հրեաներին, «Ամերիկայի Ձայն»-ի հետ հարցազրույցում հայտնել է ԱՄՆ-ի Կրոնական Ազատության Միջազգային Հանձնաժողովի հանձնակատար Թոնի Փերքինզը:

«Մենք տեսնում ենք, ինչպես է Թուրքիայում գլուխ բարձրացնում հակասեմիտիզմը, հատկապես՝ համաճարակի պայմաններում: Հայերը նույնպես նույն մեղադրանքներն են ստանում, նրանց մեղադրում են COVID-19 վարակի համար»,- ասել է նա:

Դեկտեմբերի 3-ին Թուրքիայի վերաբերյալ արտահերթ հայտարարության մեջ Հանձնաժողովն ընդգծել է, որ կրոնական փոքրամասնությունների հանդեպ ճնշումները իրականացվում են, եթե ոչ Թուրքիայի իշխանությունների ուղղակի մասնակցությամբ, ապա առնվազն չեզոք վերաբերմունքի պատճառով: Ավելին, իշխանությունները Թուրքիայում անպատիճ են թողնում կրոնական փոքրամասնությունների դեմ կատարված հանցագործությունները:

Մեկնաբանելով զեկույցը՝ Փերքինզն ընդգծել է, որ Թուրքիայում կրոնական փոքրամասնությունների իրավիճակի վատթարացման համար առաջին հերթին պատասխանատու են երկրի իշխանությունները.

«Այս տարի Թուրքիայում քանդվել է մեկ հայկական եկեղեցի, հիմնովին ոչնչացվել Վանի հայկական գերեզմանը: Սրանք ահաբեկման ձևեր են, երբ ոչնչացվում են կարեւոր կրոնական եւ մշակությաին կարեւորության վայրեր»:

Թոնի Փերքինզի խոսքով, Թուրքիայում կրոնական փոքրամասնությունները, այդ թվում Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու հետևորդները, գնալով ավելի ու ավելի են սահմանափակվում իրենց իրավունքներում:

«Կարծում եմ, վերջին շրջանում մենք ականատեսն ենք լինում, թե ինչպես է թշնամանքը կրոնական փոքրամասնությունների նկատմամբ Թուրքիայում ավելիուժգնանում: Եթե ավելի ուշադիր նայենք, կարող ենք տեսնել, որ այս հետագիծը բոլորովին լավ ընթացք չունի»,- ասել է Թոնի Փերքինզը:

«Ամերիկայի Ձայն»-ը գրում է, որ իր արտահերթ զեկույցում ԱՄՆ-ի Կրոնական Ազատության Միջազգային Հանձնաժողովը Պետքարտուղարությանը խորհուրդ է տալիս Թուրքիան հատուկ ցուցակում ընդգրկել, քանի որ այդ երկրի իշխանությունները հանդուրժում են կրոնական փոքրամասնությունների իրավունքների նկատմամբ կոպտագույն խախտումներ:
