Համաձայն հետազոտությունների արդյունքների՝ «Օմիկրոն» տարբերակն ունի միտում առաջացնելու հիվանդության ավելի թեթև ախտանշաններ, քան կորոնավիրուսային հիվանդության մյուս տարբերակները: Այն ավելի շատ ախտահարում է վերին շնչուղիները՝ քիթը, կոկորդը և առավել հազվադեպ է առաջացնում թոքերի ախտահարում։
Հիմնական ախտանշաններն են`
. կոկորդի ցավ,
. քթից արտահոսք,
. չոր հազ
. գոտկատեղի ցավ:
 
Հաշվի առնելով այն հանգամանքը, որ այժմ Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը գտնվում է գրիպի և սուր շնչառական վարակների սեզոնում, և արձանագրվում է հիվանդացության բարձր ակտիվություն, ինչպես նաև այն, որ «Օմիկրոն» տարբերակին և սուր շնչառական վարակներին բնորոշ ախտանշանները նույնանման են, հորդորում ենք նշված ախտանշանների ի հայտ գալու դեպքում դիմել առողջության առաջնային պահպանման օղակ/պոլիկլինիկա՝ հիվանդությունը վաղ փուլում հայտնաբերելու և հիվանդության բարդություններից խուսափելու նպատակով։
 
Մասնագետները նշում են, որ «Օմիկրոնից» պաշտպանության դեպքում բավականին լավ է աշխատում COVID-19-ի դեմ պատվաստանյութի բուստեր դեղաչափը: Ուստի, առողջապահության նախարարությունը կոչ է անում մեկ օր առաջ պատվաստվել և կանխել հիվանդության բարդությունները:
