Հարգելի ազատամարտիկներ և պատերազմի վետերաններ,
Շնորհավորում եմ բոլորիս հայկական բանակի կազմավորման 30-ամյակի առթիվ:
Այս 30 տարիները ծանր են եղել մեր զինված ուժերի և ժողովրդի համար:

Մեր բանակը փաստացի կազմավորվել է հենց ռազմական գործողությունների ժամանակ, այս 30 տարիների ընթացքում քիչ խաղաղ օրեր է ունեցել, իսկ վերջին 2 տարում ծանրագույն բեռ է տանում իր ուսերին` ունենալով նաև մեծ և ծանր կորուստներ:

Այս ամենը սակայն թե' զինված ուժերին, թե' մեր ժողովրդին չպետք է հետ կանգնեցնի ամուր և ժամանակակից բանակ ունենալու կարևորագույն նպատակից:
Բանակ, որը պետք է լինի մեր ինքնիշխանության և տարածքային ամբողջականության երաշխավորը:

Բանակ, որը պետք է իր գոյությամբ ազդակ հանդիսանա հնարավոր բոլոր հակառակորդներին մեր նկատմամբ որևէ ոտնձգություն թույլ չտալու համար:
Բանակ, որը պետք է նաև խաղաղության երաշխավոր լինի, քանի որ առանց դրա խաղաղությունը երկար չի տևի:

Գլուխ խոնարհելով մեր բոլոր նահատակների առաջ, ցանկանում եմ, որ մենք նրանց հիշատակը վառ պահենք ավելի ամուր և մարտունակ բանակ կառուցելով:
