2020 թվականի սեպտեմեբերի 29-ին Հայաստանի գլխավոր դատախազությունը հայտարարեց, որ քրեական գործ է հարուցվել ադրբեջանի կողմից ՀՀ-ի դեմ վարվող ագրեսիվ պատերազմի և միջազգային մարդասիրական իրավունքի նորմերի լուրջ խախտումների հատկանիշներով: Այս մասին ֆեյսբուքում գրել է «Հայաստան» խմբակցության պատգամավոր Արամ Վարդևանայնը և հավելել.

«Դատախազության հայտարարություններից մեկում նույնիսկ նշվել էր «ադրբեջանի հանրապետության ռազմաքաղաքական ղեկավարությունը» եզրույթը, ինչն ենթադրում է, որ հարուցված քրեական գործերի շրջանակներում կոնկրետացվել են քրեական գործով անցնող անձանց շրջանակը:

Այսօր միջազգային հումանիտար հնարավոր ու անհնարին հանցանքներ գործած ադրբեջանական ռազմաքաղաքական ղեկավարությունը հայտարարեց, որ Հայաստանի օրվա իշխանությունների ոճով որոշել է հետապնդում սկսել Հայաստանի երկրորդ և երրորդ նախագահների դեմ: Ինքնին այդ հայտարարությունը հոգեբանական բարդույթի և վախի հերթական դրսևորումից բացի, իրավական որևէ բաղադրիչ չունի: Ցանկացած իրավաբանի համար այն ծիծաղելի է: Այլ հարց է, որ հենց ադրբեջանի ռազմաքաղաքական ղեկավարությունը 44-օրյա պատերազմի ընթացքում ՓԱՍՏԱԳՐՎԱԾ կատարել է միջազգային մարդասիրական իրավունքի նորմերի լուրջ խախտումներ, որոնք քրեորեն հետապնդելի են: Ավելին հպարտացել է դրանցով:

Ելնելով վերոգրյալից ցանկացած Հայի համար տրամաբանական է, որ պետք է լինի Գլխավոր դատախազության հայտարարությունը ադրբեջանի ռազմաքաղաքական ղեկավարության՝ այդ թվում իլհամ ալիևի նկատմամբ քրեական հետապնդում հարուցելու և միջազգային հետախուզում հայտարարելու մասով»:
