«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը գրում է. Քաղաքական իշխանությունը ցանկանում է իրենով անել նաեւ Հայաստանի համայնքների միությունը։ Բանն այն է, որ միության ղեկավարի՝ Էմին Երիցյանի պաշտոնավարման ժամկետը լրանում է, ու իշխող «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագիրը» ձեռքը նաեւ այս կառույցի վրա է ցանկանում դնել։

«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթի տեղեկություններով՝ երեկ՝ մայիսի 24-ին, միության ընդհանուր ժողովին «ՔՊ-ական համայնքապետերը մասնակցելու էին եկել, որպեսզի իրենց ցանկալի թեկնածուին ընտրեին՝ որպես միության նախագահ, բայց, ըստ միության գործող կանոնադրության, ՔՊ-ական որեւէ թեկնածու չի համապատասխանում կառույցի նախագահի համար առաջադրված չափանիշներին։

Մեր ունեցած հավաստի տեղեկություններով՝ իշխող ՔՊ-ն համայնքների միության ղեկավարումը ցանկանում է Էջմիածնի քաղաքապետ Դիանա Գասպարյանին հանձնել։ Նա, ի դեպ, երեկվա քննարկմանն ակտիվ ելույթ ունեցողներից ու գործող կանոնադրության դեմ արտահայտվողներից էր։ «Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթի տեղեկություններով՝ ժամկետների խախտմամբ ու ուշացումով, կանոնադրության մեջ փոփոխություններ անելու առաջարկներով Արտաշատի ու Արմավիրի քաղաքապետերն են հանդես եկել։ Փոփոխությունը, սակայն, ձայների ոչ բավարար լինելու պատճառով (29 համայնքապետ էր կողմ) չանցավ, միության ղեկավարի ընտրությունն էլ հետաձգվեց։

«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը նկատեց, որ երեկ թե՛ մինչեւ ժողովի քննարկումը, թե՛ քննարկման ժամանակ ՔՊ-ական համայնքապետերն ակտիվ բանակցություների մեջ էին գործընկեր, հիմնականում՝ ոչ ՔՊ-ական համայնքապետերի հետ, որ փոփոխությունների փաթեթն ամեն գնով կարողանան անցկացնել։

Նշենք, որ հանդիպմանը ներկա էր նաեւ Վեդիի համայնքապետ, Արարատի նախկին մարզպետ Գարիկ Սարգսյանը, որը, հանդիպման մեկնարկից սկսած, մի քանի ժամ շարունակ չշարժվեց նստած տեղից։ Նրան, ըստ երեւույթին, կա՛մ մեր ներկայությունն էր կաշկանդում, կա՛մ էլ Դիանա Գասպարյանին (նրա կողքին էր նստած) մենակ թողնել չէր ցանկանում»:
