Հունիսի 2-ին Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում ընդունեց աշխատանքային այցով Հայաստան ժամանած Հունաստանի Հանրապետության ազգային պաշտպանության փոխնախարար Նիկոս Հարդալիասին և նրա գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը՝ ուղեկցությամբ ՀՀ ՊՆ փոխնախարար Կարեն Բրուտյանի։  

Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսն իր ուրախությունը հայտնեց երկու երկրների ռազմական գերատեսչությունների միջև ձևավորված սերտ փոխգործակցության առնչությամբ։ Անդրադարձ կատարելով տարածաշրջանում տիրող բարդ իրավիճակին՝ Նորին Սրբությունն իր մտահոգությունն արտահայտեց Հայաստանի և Արցախի նկատմամբ Ադրբեջանի ոտնձգությունների և չդադարող սպառնալիքների առնչությամբ։ Այս առիթով Հայոց Հովվապետը վստահություն հայտնեց, որ ՀՀ Զինված ուժերը կկարողանան ոգի և կամք դրսևորել կանխելու Ադրբեջանի ռազմատենչ նկրտումները։ Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը, ի դեմս պրն․Նիկոս Հարդալիասի, իր երախտագիտությունը հայտնեց Հունաստանի իշխանություններին և ժողովրդին Արցախյան պատերազմի ծանր օրերին Հայաստանին ցուցաբերած եղբայրական զորակցության և աջակցության համար։

Հունաստանի ազգային պաշտպանության փոխնախարարը, շնորհակալություն հայտնելով Նորին Սրբությանը ջերմ ընդունելության համար, ընդգծեց, որ հայ և հույն ժողովուրդների բարեկամությունը գալիս է դարերի խորքից։ Տիար Նիկոս Հարդալիասը, անդրադառնալով հայ-հունական ռազմական համագործակցությանը, նշեց, որ Հունաստանի պաշտպանության նախարարությունը պատրաստակամ է ամեն ջանք ներդնելու այն առավել խորացնելու համար և աջակցելու Հայաստանին առկա մարտահրավերների հաղթահարման գործում։

Զրույցի ընթացքում անդրադարձ կատարվեց միջեկեղեցական փոխհարաբերություններին։ Այս կապակցությամբ Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսն իր եղբայրական ողջույններն ու բարեմաղթանքները փոխանցեց Աթենքի ու Համայն Հունաստանի Հիերոնիմոս Երկրորդ Արքեպիսկոպոսին:

Վեհափառ Հայրապետը մաղթեց, որ Աստծու Ամենախնամ Աջի պահպանության ներքո հայ-հունական հարաբերություններն արդյունավորվեն նորանոր իրագործումներով ի նպաստ եղբայրական երկու ժողովուրդների բարօր ու խաղաղ կյանքի:
