«Հրապարակ» թերթը գրում է.

«Հունիսի 27-ին ԲԴԽ նախագահ Գագիկ Ջհանգիրյանը հոսպիտալացվել էր․ «Արմենիա» ԲԿ-ում նրա ողնաշարի ճողվածքն են վիրահատել։ Սակայն հայտնի է, որ ողերի տեղաշարժը հրատապ բուժօգնություն չի պահանջում, հապճեպ «հիվանդանալու» պատճառն իրականում Ռուբեն Վարդազարյանի կողմից գաղտնալսման հրապարակումն էր եւ դրա հաջորդ օրը ԱԺ-ում նոր դատավորներին ներկայացնելու անհրաժեշտությունը։ ԲԴԽ նախագահը հիվանդացավ, որ չգնա ԱԺ եւ ստիպված չլինի բացատրություններ տալ իր լեքսիկոնի, «վզին դրած» պարտավորությունների, քրեական վարույթներին միջամտելու մասին։ Երեկ մենք հետաքրքրվեցինք նրա առողջական վիճակով։ Խոսնակն ասաց, որ «գտնվում է հետվիրահատական վերականգնողական փուլում, այլ մանրամասներ տրամադրել չեն կարող»։

Մենք պարզեցինք, որ նա այսօր արդեն դուրս է գրվելու հիվանդանոցից։ Բուժման օրերին նրան հիվանդատես են գնացել տարբեր մարդիկ՝ ընկերներ, մերձավորներ։ Ուշագրավն այն է, որ նախօրեին, կեսգիշերն անց նրան այցելել է ՀՀ նախագահ Վահագն Խաչատուրյանը, մոտ մեկ ժամ մնացել հիվանդանոցում։ Նա վաղեմի մտերմություն ունի Գագիկ Ջհանգիրյանի հետ՝ ՀԱԿ-ի տարիներից։ Իսկ հաջորդ օրը Ջհանգիրյանին է այցելել ՀՀ նախկին վարչապետ Հովիկ Աբրահամյանը։ Երեկ տեղեկացանք նաեւ, որ ԲԴԽ-ն չի պատրաստվում վարույթ հարուցել ձայնագրության հետ կապված, որի պաշտոնական բացատրությունն այն է, որ խոսակցության ողջ ձայնագրությունը չի հրապարակվել՝ մոնտաժված է։ Չնայած այդ խոսակցության ցանկացած փոքրիկ հատված դատավորի էթիկայի նորմի խախտում է պարունակում եւ հանցակազմ, ուստիեւ վարույթ հարուցելու լիարժեք հիմք է»:
