Հավայան կղզիներում 40 տարվա մեջ առաջին անգամ ժայթքել է Մաունա Լոա աշխարհի ամենամեծ գործող հրաբուխը, գրում է BBC-ն։

Լավան դեռ չի սպառնում լեռան ստորոտում ապրող մարդկանց, ասել են տեղի պաշտոնյաները:
Սակայն ԱՄՆ Երկրաբանական ծառայությունը զգուշացնում է, որ իրավիճակը կարող է շատ արագ փոխվել։ Հավայան կղզիների Մեծ կղզում և շրջակա ջրերում նախազգուշացում կա հրաբխի շուրջ մոխրի ցրման հնարավորության մասին, և բնակիչներին խորհուրդ է տրվել զգոն լինել:

Վերջին ժայթքումը սկսվել է կիրակի գիշերը՝ հրաբխի գագաթնակետի կալդերայում: Կալդերաները իջվածքներ են, որոնք ձևավորվում են ժայթքման ավարտին՝ գագաթի տակ:
Նախկինում արդեն եղել են մի քանի նախազգուշացումներ հնարավոր ժայթքման մասին՝ տարածաշրջանում վերջերս տեղի ունեցած մի քանի երկրաշարժերից հետո, այդ թվում՝ կիրակի օրը 2,5 մագնիտուդով ավելի քան տասը հետցնցումներից հետո:

«Հիմնվելով անցյալի փորձի վրա՝ Մաունա Լոայի ժայթքման վաղ փուլերը կարող են շատ դինամիկ լինել, իսկ լավայի հոսքերի տեղայնացումը և տեղաշարժը կարող են արագ փոխվել», - ասվում է USGS-ի հայտարարության մեջ:

Զեկույցում նշվում է նաև, որ եթե ժայթքումը դուրս է գալիս գագաթնակետի կալդերայի պատերից այն կողմ, լավայի հոսքերը կարող են շատ արագ հոսել լանջով:

«Այս լավայի հոսքերը հազվադեպ են վտանգ ներկայացնում կյանքի համար, բայց դրանք կարող են չափազանց կործանարար լինել ենթակառուցվածքների համար», - ասում է բրիտանացի հրաբխային երկրաֆիզիկոս դոկտոր Ջեսիկա Ջոնսոնը, ով աշխատել է Հավայան հրաբխի աստղադիտարանում:

Քանի որ առաջին ժայթքումը գրանցվել է 1843 թվականին, Մաունա Լոան ժայթքել է ևս 33 անգամ՝ ըստ Երկրաբանական ծառայության: Վերջին ժայթքումը տեղի է ունեցել 1984 թվականին, երբ լավայի հոսքը չի հասել 8 կմ դեպի կղզու ամենամեծ քաղաքը՝ Հիլո:

Այս ակտիվության պատճառով՝ Մաունա Լոան համարվում է աշխարհի ամենամեծ գործող հրաբուխը: Կան նաև քնած հրաբուխներ, որոնք վաղուց չեն ժայթքել, և հանգած հրաբուխներ, որոնք գրեթե վստահաբար չեն ժայթքել:
