Դեկտեմբերի 1-ին Լոձում ԵԱՀԿ նախարարական համաժողովի շրջանակներում տեղի է ունեցել Հայաստանի և Հունգարիայի ԱԳ նախարարներ Արարատ Միրզոյանի և Պետեր Սիյարտոի հանդիպումը։

Կողմերը արձանագրել են հայ ու հունգարացի ժողովուրդների միջև գոյություն ունեցող պատմամշակութային խորը կապերը և ընդհանուր քրիստոնեական ժառանգությունը, և ընդգծել Հայաստանի և Հունգարիայի միջև հարաբերությունների բարելավման կարևորությունը։ Զրուցակիցները նաև ընդգծել են պաշտոնապես որպես ազգային փոքրամասնություն ճանաչված Հունգարիայի հայ համայնքի դերը, որը հանդիսանում է երկու երկրները կապող կամուրջներից մեկը։

Նախարարները մտքեր են փոխանակել Հայաստանի ու Հունգարիա հարաբերությունների ներկա փուլի վերաբերյալ: Նրանք պայմանավորվածություն են ձեռք բերել վերականգնելու լիարժեք դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունները՝ մտադրությունը հայտնելով նոր էջ բացել հայ-հունգարական հարաբերություններում՝ հիմնված փոխադարձ վստահության և միջազգային իրավունքի նկատմամբ հարգանքի վրա։

Ի շարունակություն հանդիպման՝ երկու կառավարությունները ոչ ռեզիդենտ դեսպաններ կնշանակեն՝ ուսումնասիրելու հարաբերությունների զարգացման հնարավորությունները, հատկապես առևտրի, մշակույթի, կրթության և զբոսաշրջության ոլորտներում։ Առաջիկա օրերին կմեկնարկեն անհրաժեշտ դիվանագիտական և վարչական ընթացակարգերը։
