«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը գրում է.  «Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթի տեղեկություններով՝ մարդու իրավունքների արդեն նախկին պաշտպան Քրիստիննե Գրիգորյանին Արտաքին հետախուզական ծառայության պետի պաշտոնում առաջադրելու հարցում մեծ դերակատարում են ունեցել Հայաստանում հավատարմագրված մի քանի դեսպաններ:

Մասնավորապես, նրանցից մի քանիսը ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին ասել են, որ եթե Քրիստիննե Գրիգորյանը նշանակվի այդ պաշտոնին, ապա իրենք ամեն կերպ կօգնեն Հայաստանին, կնպաստեն նորաստեղծ այդ կառույցի զարգացմանը:

Եվ հենց այդ ամենը հաշվի առնելով ու փոխադարձ քննարկումների արդյունքում եւ համաձայնությամբ թեկնածությունը հենց Գրիգորյանի վրա է կանգ առել, որից հետո էլ Քրիստիննե Գրիգորյանը հրաժարական է տվել օմբուդսմենի պաշտոնից:

Նկատենք՝ անկախ կառույց գլխավորած Քրիստիննե Գրիգորյանը պատրաստվում է դառնալ վարչապետին ենթակա մարմնի՝ Արտաքին հետախուզական ծառայության պետ:

Այդ կառույցի կանոնադրության մեջ հստակ նշված է. «Ծառայության պետն անմիջականորեն ենթակա եւ հաշվետու է Վարչապետին», իսկ Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանն անկախ պաշտոնատար անձ է»:
