«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը գրում է․ ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Սուրեն Պապիկյանի ու ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի հարաբերություններն արդեն նախկինի պես լարված չեն: Եվ հենց դա է պատճառը, որ երեկ լրագրողների հետ զրույցում Պապիկյանը վստահ հայտարարեց. «Ես չեմ պատրաստվում իմ առջեւ դրված խնդիրները կիսատ թողնել, չեմ պատրաստվում հրաժարական տալ։ Եվ, այո, շարունակելու եմ իմ սկսած բարեփոխումները, եւ թե որքան կհաջողվի այն իրականացնել, կյանքը ցույց կտա»,- ասաց Պապիկյանը։

«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը նախկինում գրել էր, որ նրա ու Փաշինյանի հարաբերությունները տեւական ժամանակ լարված էին, քանի որ «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագիր» կուսակցության վարչության կեղծված ընտրությունների համար նրան էին մեղադրում՝ իբրեւ պատասխանատուի: Մեր տեղեկություններով՝ ամեն ինչ հարթվել է, եւ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը հասկացել է, որ Սուրեն Պապիկյանը կապ չունի 2022 թվականի նոյեմբերին տեղի ունեցած վարչության կեղծված ընտրությունների հետ:

Այս իրավիճակում ուշագրավն այն էր, որ Պապիկյան-Փաշինյան լարվածությունից ցանկանում էր օգտվել Պետական վերահսկողական ծառայության պետ Ռոմանոս Պետրոսյանը՝ զբաղեցնելու ՊՆ նախարարի պաշտոնը: Նա չհասավ իր նպատակին։ Մեկնաբանության համար դիմեցինք Ռոմանոս Պետրոսյանին, որը նշեց. «Աբսուրդ է, նույնիսկ մեկնաբանելու բան չկա այդտեղ։ Խնդրում եմ էդ հարթության եւ բովանդակության հարցեր չուղղել ինձ այսուհետ»:
