Ամերիկյան Կոլորադոյի Ավրորա քաղաքից ատամնաբույժ 45-ամյա Ջեյմս Թոլիվեր Քրեյգը սպանել է կնոջը՝ փորձելով նոր կյանք սկսել սիրուհու հետ։ Այս մասին հայտնում է The Daily Beast-ը։

Մարտի 15-ին Ջեյմսը հիվանդանոց է բերել կնոջը՝ 43-ամյա Անջելային։ Կինը բժիշկներին բողոքել է գլխապտույտից և ուժեղ գլխացավից, և շուտով նրա վիճակն սկսել է արագորեն վատանալ։ Շուտով բժիշկները նրա մոտ ուղեղի մահ են արձանագրել։

Հանցագործությունից կարճ ժամանակ առաջ Ջեյմսը գնել էր մկնդեղ և օլեանդրին, իսկ հետո ցիանիդ պատվիրել՝ իր գրասենյակ առաքումով: Ավելի ուշ նա ցիանիդ է ավելացրել կնոջ պրոտեինային կոկտեյլի մեջ։ Տղամարդու գործընկերներից մեկը պատահաբար տեսել է փաթեթի պարունակությունը և ենթադրել, որ Անջելայի ախտանիշները կարող են կապված լինել քիմիական թունավորման հետ։ Գործընկերն իր ենթադրությունների մասին հայտնել է Ջեյմսի բիզնես գործընկերոջը: Շուտով հիվանդանոցի անձնակազմը տեղեկացել է հնարավոր թունավորման մասին։

Հետաքննության ընթացքում պարզվել է, որ կինը թունավորվել է։ Տղամարդը ձերբակալվել և բանտ է ուղարկվել սպանության մեղադրանքով։ Հետաքննությունը պարզել է նաեւ, որ Ջեյմսը Դենվեր քաղաքում բնակվող սիրուհի է ունեցել։ Նա թռել է կնոջ մոտ, երբ Անջելան մահանում էր հիվանդանոցում։

Ենթադրվում է, որ տղամարդը սպանել է կնոջը՝ սիրուհու հետ նոր կյանք սկսելու համար։ Նշվում է, որ Ջեյմսն ու Անջելան լուրջ խնդիրներ են ունեցել ամուսնական կյանքում։ Տղամարդը բազմիցս գաղտնի հարաբերություններ է ունեցել տարբեր կանանց հետ, պոռնոգրաֆիայից կախվածություն է ունեցել, սնանկացման եզրին է եղել և նախկինում էլի է փորձել թունավորել կնոջը։ Դատարանում վկայի խոսքով՝ նախկինում Ջեյմսը ինքնասպանության փորձ է կատարել՝ ընդ որում թմրանյութ տալով Անջելային, որպեսզի վերջինս չկարողա փրկել իրեն։

Քրեյգ ընտանիքի ընկերոջ խոսքով՝ Անջելան հրաշալի մարդ էր։ Զույգը վեց երեխա ունի, և, ըստ ընտանիքի ընկերոջ, մահացածը հիանալի մայր էր և սիրող կին, ով միշտ աջակցում էր ամուսնուն։
