ՀՀ ԱԺ Հայաստան-ԱՄՆ բարեկամական խմբի անդամները` բարեկամական խմբի ղեկավար, ԱԺ «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագիր» խմբակցության ղեկավար Հայկ Կոնջորյանը, ԱԺ արտաքին հարաբերությունների մշտական հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Սարգիս Խանդանյանը, ԱԺ պատգամավորներ Վահագն Ալեքսանյանը, Հռիփսիմե Գրիգորյանը, Իրինա Գասպարյանը, ԱՄՆ-ում ՀՀ արտակարգ եւ լիազոր դեսպան Լիլիթ Մակունցը մայիսի 10-ին Վաշինգտոնում հանդիպել են ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի նախկին խոսնակ, կոնգրեսական Նենսի Փելոսիին, Կոնգրեսի հայկական հարցերով հանձնախմբի համանախագահ Ֆրենկ Փըլլոնին, Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի անդամներ Ռոբ Մենենդեսին, Դեբի Դինգլին եւ Ջեն Շչեկովսկիին:

Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի նախկին խոսնակ Նենսի Փելոսին ջերմությամբ է հիշել Հայաստան կատարած իր այցը` վերահաստատելով իրենց աջակցությունը Հայաստանի ժողովրդավարությանը, ինքնիշխանությանն ու տարածքային ամբողջականությանը: Հայաստան-ԱՄՆ բարեկամական խմբի ղեկավար Հայկ Կոնջորյանը հանդիպման ժամանակ կարեւորել է Հայաստանի Հանրապետության եւ ԱՄՆ-ի միջեւ առկա ռազմավարական երկխոսությունը, ընդգծել ԱՄՆ-ի օժանդակությունը Հայաստանում իրականացվող ժողովրդավարական բարեփոխումներին: Կողմերը փոխադարձաբար ընդգծել են միջխորհրդարանական համագործակցության առկա բարձր մակարդակը եւ պայմանավորվել շարունակել քաղաքական խորհրդակցություններն ու փոխադարձ այցերը:

Հանդիպման ընթացքում քննարկվել են Հայաստանի շուրջ առկա անվտանգային իրավիճակը, Լաչինի միջանցքի ապօրինի շրջափակումը, ինչպես նաեւ Ադրբեջանի հետ ընթացող խաղաղության գործընթացը, առկա մարտահրավերներն ու դրանց լուծման ուղիները: Հայ խորհրդարանականներն ընդգծել են, որ Հայաստանը հավատարիմ է խաղաղության օրակարգին, որի նպատակն է տարածաշրջանում կայուն եւ երկարատեւ խաղաղության հաստատումը: Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի գործընկերները վերահաստատել են իրենց պատրաստակամությունը` հետագայում եւս աջակցել Հայաստանի Հանրապետությանը տարբեր ձեւաչափերով:
