Новый президент Финляндии отказался налаживать отношения с РФ до конца СВО

Победитель президентских выборов в Финляндии Александр Стубб заявил, что его страна не будет поддерживать отношения с Россией на уровне руководства до завершения украинского конфликта. Об этом политик сообщил на пресс-конференции по итогам выборов, его цитирует Yle.

«Политика в отношении России проста. Дипломатические и официальные отношения остаются, но отношений с РФ на политическом уровне нет и не будет, пока не прекратится конфликт на Украине», — сказал Стубб.

В целом новый президент намерен продолжать линию своего предшественника Саули Ниинисте, в том числе в вопросе поддержки Украины. Кроме того, Стубб заявил, что теперь безопасность Финляндии определяет членство в НАТО и Евросоюзе.

55-летний бывший премьер-министр Финляндии, кандидат от Национальной коалиционной партии Александр Стубб одержал победу во втором туре президентских выборов, обойдя на несколько процентов своего оппонента — экс-главу МИД страны Пекку Хаависто.

Стубб выступает за развитие отношений с НАТО и холодно относится к России. Он даже обещал не брать трубку, если вдруг президент РФ Владимир Путин решит позвонить и поздравить его с победой на выборах. Инаугурация нового президента Финляндии состоится 1 марта.
