«Հայաստան» և «Պատիվ ունեմ» խմբակցությունների պատգամավորներով Արմեն Աշոտյանի առաջիկա նիստին Հակակոռուպցիոն դատարանին են ներկայացնելու երաշխավորություն, որով կստանձնեն պարտավորություն՝ ապահովելու Աշոտյանի դատավարական պարտավորությունների պատշաճ կատարումը։


«Աշոտյանի շուրջ տասն ամիս ձգվող կալանքը քաղաքական հաշվեհարդարի ցցուն օրինակ է։ Արմեն Աշոտյանի արդարացի ու թափանցիկ դատաքննության կոչով հանդես է եկել նաև Եվրոպայի Ժողովրդական Կուսակցությունը՝ ՀՀ իշխանություններին կոչ անելով ազատ արձակել վերջինիս։ Մենք ներկայացրել ենք երաշխավորություն, քանի որ գտնում ենք, որ կալանքը չպետք է լինի քաղաքական հաշվեհարդարի, պատժելու գործիք։ Ուստի բնական էր նաև մեր խմբակցությունների պատգամավորների արձագանքը, երբ ընդամենը երկու ամիս առաջ ցուցադրաբար կալանավորվեցին «Սիներջի» ընկերության կին աշխատակցուհիները և ԱԺ ՔՊ-ական 65 պատգամավոր ընտրողաբար անձնական երաշխավորություն ներկայացրեց վերջիններիս համար։ Իհարկե, իրավիճակն այլ կլիներ, եթե բոլորը անհանդուրժող լինեին հարյուրավոր անհիմն կալանքների դեպքում, ոչ միայն յուրայինների։ Արմեն Աշոտյանի, Մամիկոն Ասլանյանի, Նարեկ Մալյանի, Վազեն Սաղաթելյանի, Նարեկ Սամսոնյանի քաղաքական բանտարկյալ լինելու հանգամանքին չի կարող և չպետք է անտարբեր մնա մեր երկրում իրական ժողովրդավարության ձգտող որևէ քաղաքացի։
