ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահ Ալեն Սիմոնյանի գլխավորած պատվիրակությունը Վիլնյուս կատարած պաշտոնական այցի շրջանակում ապրիլի 17-ին հանդիպել է Լիտվայի Հանրապետության արտաքին գործերի նախարար Գաբրիելյուս Լանդսբերգիսին:

ԱԳՆ-ից տեղեկացնում են, որ հանդիպումը մեկնարկել է տարածաշրջանում առկա անվտանգային խնդիրների քննարկմամբ: Անդրադարձ է կատարվել անվտանգային իրավիճակին Արևելյան Եվրոպայում և Հարավային Կովկասում:

Ալեն Սիմոնյանը լիտվացի դիվանագետին ներկայացրել է Հայաստանի Հանրապետության կառավարության կողմից առաջարկվող «Խաղաղության խաչմերուկ» նախագիծը` ընդգծելով ծրագրի կարևորությունը Հարավային Կովկասում խաղաղության հաստատման և տարածաշրջանի երկրների համար առևտրատնտեսական հնարավորություններ ստեղծելու համատեքստում:

««Խաղաղության խաչմերուկ» նախագիծը մեր ճանապարհային քարտեզն է դեպի խաղաղություն: Նախագծի նպատակն է ինքնիշխանության, փոխադարձության և հավասարության սկզբունքների վրա տարածաշրջանային հաղորդակցությունների զարգացումը, ինչն էապես կբարելավի թե՛ տնտեսական, թե՛ անվտանգային իրավիճակը»,- նշել է Ալեն Սիմոնյանը:

Զրուցակիցները մտքեր են փոխանակել հայ-թուրքական, հայ-ադրբեջանական հարաբերությունների կարգավորման, Ադրբեջանում պահվող հայ ռազմագերիների խնդրի վերաբերյալ:

«Լիտվան պատրաստ է ամեն կերպ աջակցել խաղաղության գործընթացին»,- նշել է Գաբրիելյուս Լանդսբերգիսը:

Անդրադարձ է կատարվել Հայաստան-ԵՄ հարաբերությունների սերտացմանը, մասնավորապես՝ պաշտպանական և առևտրատնտեսական ոլորտներում:

Հանդիպման ավարտին Ալեն Սիմոնյանը գրառում է կատարել Լիտվայի Հանրապետության արտաքին գործերի նախարարության Պատվավոր հյուրերի գրանցամատյանում:
