"Kings" of RA MFA
AnalyticalI was walking in the Republic Square, near the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, when I met two young men. It was obvious that they left the car parking opposite the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Suddenly I heard how about 40-year-old man in a beautiful coat appealed to the younger, who was concentrating on his phone:
-Are you going to stay long?
-No, my sun, answered the young man.
I keep walking back to them when a few men joined them, and greeted:
-King ...
-My brother ...
I turned and saw that the group was entering the building of MFA.
-Are you Foreign Ministry officials?, I ask.
-Yes, but what is the matter? ..
-Yeah so ... King, my brother ...
-We are drivers, tryed to explain the older man, in order to explain the logic and etymology of peculiar vocabulary.
Stanislavsky said that "the theater begins with a hanger." MFA, apparently, begins with the drivers, "brother-kings." Drivers are known to play an important role (driver of ex-Defense Minister Serzh Sargsyan Vachik Ghazaryan, who had never even gone to the restaurant with his chief, and waited for hours in the car while Sargsyan would complete his meetings, became one of the most influential persons in Armenia, becoming the security head of the President).
They accompany their chiefs with various errands visit various departments, communicate with their chiefs' colleagues at both the personal and at the official level. So, we can only imagine how the "brothers-kings" made an impression on Foreign diplomatic missions, many of which have a good knowledge of the Armenian language (first of all who comes to Armenia studies, which is very often cleverly hidden) and are better able to understand the level of the "brothers -kings" and the culture of their communication.
