Armenia not accused of supplying weapons to Libya

A spokesperson for Armenia’s Foreign Ministry has dismissed the report that the UN Security Council’s Sanctions Committee has accused Armenia of supplying weapons to the Libyan regime.
“The report by the expert group, set up in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1973, does not contain a wording that says Armenia supplied weapons to Libya; there is absolutely no accusation against Armenia,” Tigran Balayan told the state news agency Armenpress.
He said a report accessible on the UN official website provides names of different private shipping companies.
“The list also contains a reference to two companies having registration in Armenia. In response to the expert group request, Armenia provided comprehensive and exhaustive information on the above companies and their activities,” Balayan added.
