«Հայրենիք» կուսակցության նախագահ Արթուր Վանեցյան ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրել է.
 
«Սիրելի եզդի եղբայրներ և քույրեր,
Այսօր՝ օգոստոսի 3-ին, մենք միասին ոգեկոչում ենք 2014թ․ Իրաքի հյուսիսում ահաբեկչական կազմավորումների հրոսակների կողմից եզդի ժողովրդի հանդեպ իրականացված ցեղասպանության անմեղ զոհերի հիշատակը։
Իրեն քաղաքակիրթ համարող համաշխարհային հանրության աչքի առջև, իսկ շատ դեպքերում քար լռության պայմաններում արդեն 21-րդ դարում մի ողջ հինավուրց ժողովուրդ իր բնօրրան Սինջարում և այլ վայրերում ենթարկվեց զանգվածային սպանդի, տեղահանության, գերեվարության ու հայրենազրկման, որի ցավալի հետևանքները զգալի են մինչև այժմ։
Հայաստանը և ցեղասպանության արհավիրքն ապրած հայ ժողովուրդը չէին կարող ոչ միայն չկիսել եղբայրական եզդի ժողովրդի վիշտն ու ապրումակցել նրան, այլ նաև անմասն մնալ եզդիների ցեղասպանության ճանաչումից։ Արդեն 2018թ․ Հայաստանի Հանրապետության խորհրդարանը ճանաչեց և դատապարտեց ահաբեկչական խմբավորումների կողմից Իրաքի Հանրապետության՝ իրենց վերահսկողության տակ գտնվող տարածքներում եզդի ժողովրդի նկատմամբ 2014թ․ իրականացված ցեղասպանությունը։
Այս տխուր օրն անձամբ իմ և «Հայրենիք» կուսակցության անունից ցանկանում եմ վշտակցությունս և աջակցությունս հայտնել եզդի ժողովրդին՝ վստահաբար հավատալով, որ բազմաթիվ արհավիրքների միջով անցած այս հնամյա ժողովուրդը վերածնվելու է՝ վերածնվելու է նաև գալիք հզոր և անվտանգ Հայաստանում, քանի որ հենց մեր ընդհանուր Հայրենիքի համար պայքարում են հայաստանաբնակ եզդիներն անցել անմնացորդ նվիրման և զոհողությունների հայ-եզդիական անխախտ եղբայրության միասնական ուղով»:
