Ամեն տարի մարտի 1-ին աշխարհը համախմբվում է՝ նշելու Քաղաքացիական պաշտպանության համաշխարհային օրը։ Օրվա խորհրդի արժևորումն անհրաժեշտ հիշեցում է քաղաքացիական պաշտպանության միջոցառումների կարևորության մասին՝ հասարակությանը տարաբնույթ արտակարգ իրավիճակներից, աղետներից և պատերազմներից պաշտպանելու գործում:

Քաղաքացիական պաշտպանության միջազգային կազմակերպությունը, օրվա խորհրդին համահունչ, ամեն տարի հայտարարում է տարվա կարգախոս։ 2024 թվականին կարգախոս է հայտարարվել «Պատվե՛ք հերոսներին և խթանե՛ք անվտանգության հմտությունները»՝ ի պատիվ այն հերոսների, որոնք շատ հաճախ ճանաչում չեն ստանում կատարած կարևորագույն աշխատանքի համար։ Այն հարգանքի տուրք է քաղաքացիական պաշտպանության ծառայությունների, կազմավորումների, կամավորների և անհատների անխոնջ ջանքերին, որոնք նվիրված են բնակչության անվտանգության և պատրաստվածության ապահովման նշանակալի գործին:

Քաղաքացիական պաշտպանության համակարգի շարունակական զարգացումը և կարողությունների հզորացումը Ներքին գործերի նախարարության գերակա ուղղություններից է։

Օրվա նշանավորումով պայմանավորված՝ Ներքին գործերի նախարարությունը հանրապետության ողջ տարածքում կազմակերպել և անցկացնում է տարաբնույթ ուսումնավարժություններ, դասախոսություններ, սեմինարներ և բաց դասեր, որոնք ուղղված են աղետների ռիսկի նվազեցմանը, մասնավորապես՝ հասարակության իրազեկման մակարդակի բարձրացմանը և պատրաստվածության ամրապնդմանը, ինչպես նաև՝ պետական կառավարման համակարգի, տեղական ինքնակառավարման մարմինների և կազմակերպությունների համագործակցության արդյունավետության բարձրացմանը։
