More than half of Israelis favor PM Netanyahu's immediate resignation, media report

More than half of Israelis believe that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should resign immediately, amid the situation regarding Gaza. Channel 12 television of Israel publicized such survey data.

According to the results of this survey, 58 percent of the respondents were in favor of the immediate resignation of the head of the Israeli government. Among those who voted for the parties entering the governing coalition in the 2022 elections, 28 percent of respondents supported the idea of the resignation of the incumbent PM. And 54 percent of respondents consider it necessary to hold snap elections in the country.

In addition, 48 percent of respondents supported the idea of the immediate resignation of Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, 50 percent of respondents were in favor of the dismissal of the Chief of the General Staff of the Israeli Army, and 56 percent supported the resignation of the director of the Israeli Security Agency (counter-intelligence), Ronen Bar.

This survey was conducted on Tuesday, online and by phone, with a representative choice, and 500 respondents participated.
