Սերբ թենիսիստ Նովակ Ջոկովիչը Ուիմբլդոնի տղամարդկանց մենախաղի եզրափակիչում է:

«Մեծ սաղավարտ»-ի տարվա հերթական մրցաշարի` Ուիմբլդոնի տղամարդկանց մենախաղի կիսաեզրափակիչում Նովակ Ջոկովիչը մրցեց Մեծ Բրիտանիան ներկայացնող Քեմերոն Նորիս հետ: 2 ժամ 37 րոպե ձգված մրցախաղի արդյունքում Նովակ Ջոկովիչը հաղթեց 4 սեթերից հետո` 2:6, 6:3, 6:2, 6:4 հաշվով: Եզրափակիչում սերբ թենիսիստ կմրցի ավստրալացի Նիկ Կիրիոսի հետ: Եզրափակիչը կկայանա հուլիսի 10-ին:

Սերբ թենիսիստ Ուիմբլդոնի գործող չեմպիոն է: Նա այս մրցաշարում հաղթել է 6 անգամ:

Կիսաեզրափակիչ հաղթանակից հետո Նովակ Ջոկովիչը «Մեծ սաղավարտ»-ի նոր ռեկորդ է սահմանել` նա առաջին թենիսիստ է, որ 32-րդ անգամ հանդես կգա եզրափակիչում: Նախորդ ռեկորդը պատկանում էր շվեյցարացի Ռոջեր Ֆեդերերին` 31 անգամ:

Ուիմբլդոնն անցկացվում է 1877 թվականից: Մրցաշարի մրցանակային ֆոնդն այս տարի կազմում է 50 միլիոն ֆունտ, որից հաղթողներին բաժին կհասնի 2 միլիոն ֆունտը:  Ուիմբլդոնի տղամարդկանց մենախաղում ամենաշատ հաղթանակ տոնել է շվեյցարացի Ռոջեր Ֆեդերերը (8 անգամ), իսկ կանանց մենախաղում` Մարտինա Նավրատիլովան (9 անգամ): Ուիմբլդոնն անցկացվում է 5 ենթախմբով` տղամարդկանց մենախաղ, կանանց մենախաղ, տղամարդկանց զույգեր, կանանց զույգեր և միքս զույգեր:
