«Հրապարակ» թերթը գրում է. «Տեղեկություններ կան, որ «Երեւան-Կենտրոն» քրեակատարողական հիմնարկի` ԱԱԾ մեկուսարանի պետ Արման Մելքոնյանը մոտ օրերս կազատվի աշխատանքից: Արման Մելքոնյանը, հիշեցնենք, ՔՊ-ական պատգամավոր Գագիկ Մելքոնյանի որդին է։ Ազատման պատճառների մասին մեզ շատ բան հայտնի չէ, միայն խոսում են, որ վերեւներում նրա նկատմամբ անվստահություն է ձեւավորվել դեռեւս անցած տարվանից, նոյեմբերին էլ արդարադատության նախարարությունը Մելքոնյանի նկատմամբ  կարգապահական տույժ` «խիստ նկատողություն»  կիրառեց:

Որոշ տեղեկություններով՝ այն կապված էր պաշտպանության նախկին նախարար Դավիթ Տոնոյանի հետ, երբ ԱԱԾ մեկուսարանից Տոնոյանին օգոստոսի 1-ին Ազգային ժողովի քննիչ հանձնաժողովի նիստին տանելու ճանապարհին Դավիթ Տոնոյանը խնդրել է ուղեկցողներին, որ թույլ տան կարճ տեսակցել մոր հետ, հետո շարունակել ճանապարհը:

Ըստ լուրերի, ՔԿ ծառայողները կապ են հաստատել վերադասի հետ, որը թույլ է տվել, որ Տոնոյանը գնա տուն, տեսակցի տարեց մոր հետ՝ պայմանով, որ ոչ ոք չիմանա: Ասում են՝ «դաբրո» տվողը եղել է Մելքոնյանը։

Լուրը հաջորդ օրերին հրապարակվեց թերթերից մեկում, ինչն էլ, փաստորեն, ճակատագրական է եղել Մելքոնյանի համար, ով այդ պաշտոնին է նշանակվել 2023թ. մարտի 29-ին` տեղափոխվելով «Արթիկ» քրեակատարողական հիմնարկի պետի պաշտոնից»:
