ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարությունը պատասխանել է «Ամերիկայի ձայնի» հայկական ծառայության հարցմանը՝ ՀԱՊԿ-ում Հայաստանի անդամակցության շուրջ վարչապետ Փաշինյանի օրերս արված հայտարարությունների ու պաշտպանության ոլորտում Երևանի ձեռնարկած քայլերի մասին: Պետքարտուղարությունը հայտնել է. «Մենք հարգում ենք Հայաստանի՝ որպես անկախ երկրի ցանկությունը՝ շարունակելու իր ընտրած անվտանգային հարաբերությունները, և մենք աջակցում ենք տարածաշրջանի բոլոր երկրների ինքնիշխանությանը և տարածքային ամբողջականությանը»։ Անդրադառնալով Մոսկվայի հետ Երևանի հարաբերություններում առկա խնդիրներին՝ ԱՄՆ արտաքին քաղաքական գերատեսչությունը նշել է. «Ռուսաստանը վստահելի կամ բարեխիղճ դաշնակից կամ գործընկեր չէ Հարավային Կովկասում կամ այլուր: Մենք բազմիցս տեսել ենք, որ Ռուսաստանին չեն մտահոգում Հայաստանի շահերը»:

Ինչպես տեսնում ենք, ԱՄՆ-ն օգնության է հասնում Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին՝ վերջինս հանդեպ հակառուսական հայտարարությունների ֆոնին հնչած քննադատություններից հետո: Սակայն, արդարության համար պետք է փաստել, որ պատմական բազմաթիվ օրինակներ ապացուցում են այն պարզ ճշմարտությունը, որ ԱՄՆ-ն մասնավորապես, իսկ Արևմուտքը՝ ընդհանուր առմամբ չեն կարող վստահելի դաշնակից կոչվել: Հատկապես դա ցայտուն  է երևում, երբ դիտարկում ես վրացական և ուկրաինական քեյսերը: 2008 թվականին նույն Արևմուտքը թևեր տալով Վրաստանի այն ժամանակվա իշխանություններին, օժանդակության մասին գեղեցիկ խոստումներով դրդեց վերջիններիս պատերազմ սկսել, որը որևէ մեկի համար գաղտնիք չէ, թե ինչ ավարտ ունեցավ: Վրաստանը վրաց-օսական հակամարտության ընթացքում կորցրեց Հարավային Օսիան, Աբխազիան: Ընդ որում, նման տարածքային և մարդկային կորուստներից հետո էլ արևմուտքը բավարարվեց սոսկ բարոյական աջակցության խոսքերով, վրացիներին թողնելով մեն-մենակ սեփական խնդիրների հետ: Պատմությունը կրկնվեց նաև Ուկրաինայի դեպքում: Մինչև վերջ Կիևի կողքին կանգնելու և աջակցության խոստումներ տված ԱՄՆ-ն, այսօր գրեթե զրոյի է հասցրել Ուկրաինային տրամադրվող ռազմական և ֆինանսական օգնությունը և մղում է Ուկրաինայի իշխանություններին բանակցություններ սկսել Մոսկվայի հետ: Կիևից արդեն բացահայտ են հնչում հայտարարություններ, որոնց շեշտադրումը միանշանակ է՝ ԱՄՆ-ն միայնակ է թողել իր դաշնակցին, որն այսօր կորցրել է իր տարածքների մի մասը և դեռ շարունակում է նահանջել:

Հետաքրքիր է, որ այսքանից հետո Արևմուտքը դեռ ՌԴ-ին է մեղադրում ոչ հուսալի դաշնակից լինելու մեջ: Փաստերը ինչպես ասում են՝ խոսում են իրենք իրենց փոխարեն:
