Այսօր վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ասուլիսի ընթացքում պատասխանել է լրագրողների հարցերին։ Մասնավորապես, այն դիտարկմանը, որ ՔՊ-ական պատգամավոր Գագիկ Մելքոնյանը օրերս հայտարարել է՝ Կրեմլի ցուցումով էր Արշակ Կարապետյանը նշանակվել Պաշտպանության նախարար, նա արձագանքել է․ 

«Նրան ԳՇ պետի տեղակալ և Պաշտպանության նախարար նշանակելու հարցում ամենևին էլ անտեսված չեն եղել նրա հատուկ հարաբերությունները ՌԴ մի շարք անձանց և շրջանակների հետ: Հարց հնչեց ճիշտ և սխալ անելու հետ կապված․ այդ իրադրությունում մտածում էինք՝ լավ, ինչնա՞ պատճառը, որ մեր դաշնակիցները սենց հարցերում շատ հստակ չեն, կարողա՞ մենք ինչ-որ բան ենք սխալ անում, կարողա՞ պետքա լրացուցիչ ժեստեր անենք, որպեսզի մեր անվտանգային համակարգերը նորմալ սկսեն գործել»,- ասաց վարչապետն ու թեմայի վերաբերյալ նաև այլ մանրամասներ հայտնեց․ 

«Ես որոշում եմ կայացրել նրան հանել աշխատանքից: Ուզո՞ւմ  եք ասեմ՝ ինչն է եղել պատճառը: 2021 թվականի նոյեմբերի 14-ի առավոտյան Արշակ Կարապետյանն ինձ զեկուցել է, որ սահմանի երկայնքով ամեն ինչ հանգիստ է ու հանդարտ, մինչդեռ իր զեկուցման պահին մեր սահմանի մի շարք տեղամասերում ադրբեջանական զորքերը ներխուժած են եղել ՀՀ տարածք և նույնիսկ դիրքեր  են վերցրած եղել։

Եվ նա, լինելով ՊՆ նախարար, երկու տարբերակ կար՝ կա՛մ դրա մասին տեղյակ չի եղել, կա՛մ տեղյակ լինելով՝ ինձ չի զեկուցել: Նման իրավիճակներում ես որևէ մեկին կես ժամ նույնիսկ չեմ հանդուրժի էդ պաշտոնում»,- վստահեցրեց Փաշինյանը։
