2018 թվականի ապրիլին տեղի ունեցած քաղաքական իրադարձությունների ընթացքում հայտարարվում էր, որ գործող իշխանության հեռացմամբ վերջ կդրվի նաև խնամի-ծանոթ-բարեկամ սկզբունքով պետական կառավարման համակարգում պաշտոնները և պատգամավորական մանդատները բաշխելու ավանդույթին։ Ժողովուրդը հակված էր հավատալու սրան, քանի որ դեռևս պատգամավոր Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը խոստանում էր մեկընդմիշտ փակել այդ էջը։ Սակայն իշխանափոխությանը հաջորդած գործընթացն այլ իրականություն բացահայտեց։ 

Ասվածին որպես օրինակ կարող ենք բերել Արարատի նախկին մարզպետ, այժմ Վեդիի համայնքապետ Գարիկ Սարգսյանին, ում կողմից արտահայտած մտքերը հաճախ «օրակարգ» են ձևավորում համացանցում: Վերջինս նաև աչքի էր ընկնում նրանով, որ իր խնամիներին, բարեկամներին ու ընկերներին պաշտոնների է նշանակում: Այն, որ Գարիկ Սարգսյանն իր բարեկամների պաշտոնների է նշանակում, նա չի հերքում և «չի արդարանում»` ասելով. «Ես ամենևին չեմ արդարանում, արդարանալու համար կասեի՝ ոչ, իմ բարեկամն ու ազգականը չեն»։ Օրինակ, Գարիկ Սարգսյանը Արարատի մարզպետարանում աշխատանքի էր ընդունել իր զարմիկին՝ Գևորգ Մանուկյանին, ում նշանակել էր իր օգնականի պաշտոնում, իսկ մեկ այլ բարեկամի նշանակել էր իր խորհրդական: Ըստ որոշ աղբյուրների՝ այդ բարեկամը մարզպետի մորաքրոջ հարսն էր, ով այնուհետև Արարատի մարզպետարանի գլխավոր քարտուղարի պաշտոնակատար էր նշանակվել: Մեկ այլ մորաքրոջ հարսի ևս մարզպետը ցանկանում էր Ավշարի դպրոցում պաշտոնի նշանակել, սակայն դա իրականություն չդարձավ համացանցում բարձրացված աղմուկից հետո:

 Արարատի փոխմարզպետ Արտավազդ Նազարեթյանը Գարիկ Սարգսյանի համակուրսեցին է: Վերջինիս ներկայացնելուց Արարատի այն ժամանակվա մարզպետը չէր էլ թաքցրել, որ իրենք ծանոթ են և ունեն ընկերական կապեր: Հարցին, թե արդյոք դա կոռուպցիոն ռիսկ իր մեջ չի պարունակում, Սարգսյանն այն ժամանակ ասել էր. «Ոչ, որովհետեւ երբ ՔՊ կուսակցությունը հիմնվել է, այս մարդն ակտիվ մեզ հետ ամեն հարցում զբաղվել է: Ցանկացած հարցում աջակից է եղել մեր ցանկացած քայլին»: Հարցին, թե կարո՞ղ է նշել մի դրական բան, որի համար նա նշանակվել է փոխմարզպետ, Գարիկ Սարգսյանը պատասխանեց. «Այդպես չի գնահատվում տեղակալ նշանակելը: Նա գաղափարակից ընկեր է մեզ համար եւ այդ պատճառով նշանակվել է այդ պաշտոնին»: Նա հավելել էր, որ դա կոռուպցիա չի համարում:
