Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպան Անահիտ Մանասյանն ապրիլի 10-ին, ընդունել է ԱՄՆ Հավայի նահանգի Գերագույն դատարանի դատավոր Թոդ Էդինսին։

Ողջունելով հյուրերին՝ Անահիտ Մանասյանը ներկայացրել է Պաշտպանի գործունեության ուղղությունները՝ ընդգծելով կանանց, երեխաների, զինված ուժերում, հաշմանդամություն ունեցող անձանց իրավունքների պաշտպանության, ատելության խոսքի, անհանդուրժողականության մթնոլորտի, խտրականության դեմ պայքարի շրջանակներում և մի շարք այլ ոլորտներում իրականացվող աշխատանքները։

Պաշտպանը ներկայացրել է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղից բռնի տեղահանված անձանց իրավունքների պաշտպանությանն առնչվող հարցեր, հատուկ անդրադարձել անձամբ իր և աշխատակազմի կողմից իրականացված փաստահավաք աշխատանքներին։ Այս համատեքստում Անահիտ Մանասյանը նշել է, որ առաջին իսկ օրվանից ակտիվ ներգրավվել է այդ աշխատանքներում. աշխատակազմի հետ այցելել է Գորիս, Կոռնիձոր և Վայք` աշխատանքներն իրականացնելով նաև գիշերային ժամերին։

Փաստագրված տեղեկություններն ամփոփվել են Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի արտահերթ զեկույցում, որն իսկությունն ապացուցող խորհրդապահական հատվածով Պաշտպանի կողմից ներկայացվել է մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության մանդատ ունեցող միջազգային կազմակերպություններին և դերակատարներին։

Իր հերթին Թոդ Էդինսը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել ընդունելության համար, կարևորել է Պաշտպանի հաստատության դերը մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության բարձր առաքելության իրականացման գործում։
