Ուկրաինան կասետային զինամթերք է ստացել ԱՄՆ ռազմական օգնության նոր փաթեթից։ Այս մասին հայտնել է ԱՄՆ պաշտպանության նախարարության ներկայացուցիչը, գրում են միջազգային ԶԼՄ-ները։

«Տավրիա» օպերատիվ-ռազմավարական խմբավորման հրամանատար Ալեքսանդր Տարնավսկին ավելի վաղ ասել էր, որ Ուկրաինան դեռևս կասետային զինամթերք չի օգտագործել, սակայն «դրանք կարող են հիմնովին փոխել իրավիճակը մարտի դաշտում»։

Հուլիսի 7-ին Ուկրաինային տրամադրվել է 800 մլն դոլարի ռազմական օգնության նոր փաթեթ։ Բացի կասետային զինամթերքից՝ այն ներառում է Bradley և Stryker զրահամեքենաներ, HIMARS-ի և հաուբիցների համար նախատեսված արկեր և հակաօդային պաշտպանության զինամթերք։

ԱՄՆ ազգային անվտանգության հարցերով խորհրդական Ջեյք Սալիվանն այնուհետև ասել է, որ Միացյալ Նահանգները հասկանում է կասետային զինամթերքի վտանգը և, հետևաբար, երկար ժամանակ տատանվում էր այս որոշումը կայացնելու հարցում։ Սակայն քանի որ ռուսական բանակն արդեն իսկ օգտագործում է նմանատիպ արկեր, Ուկրաինան պետք է կարողանա պաշտպանվել համադրելի սպառազինությամբ։

Նա նաև ասել է, որ ուկրաինական կողմից ստացել է կասետային զինամթերքի «առավել զգույշ» օգտագործման երաշխիքներ և խաղաղ բնակիչների անվտանգությունն ապահովելու ցանկության մասին հավաստում։
