«Քաղաքացիական պայմանագիր» կուսակցությունը, իր կցորդների հետ միասին, որոշել է Երևանի ավագանուց հեռացնել ամենամեծ ընդդիմադիր խմբակցության՝ «Ազգային առաջընթաց»-ի լիդեր Հայկ Մարությանին և ավագանու ընդդիմադիր մի շարք այլ անդամների, այս մասին հայտարարությամբ է հանդես եկել Երևանի ավագանու «Ազգային առաջընթաց» խմբակցությունը:

«Իրավական և քաղաքական առումով թերի այս գործողությունը բացառապես մեկ նպատակ է հետապնդում՝ լռեցնել ընդդիմության ձայնը և զրկել նրան կոռումպացված ու ապաշնորհ քաղաքային իշխանության վնասաբեր որոշումների դեմ պայքարելու հնարավորությունից։

Քաղաքական դիրքորոշում արտահայտելու՝ ընդդիմադիրների իրավունքը ժողովրդավարության կարևորագույն սկզբունքներից է և տեղական ինքնակառավարման հիմնասյուներից։ Իշխող փոքրամասնությունն այս կամայական գործելաոճով արհամարհում է մեր ուժին ձայն տված յուրաքանչյուր երևանցու քվեն։

Ժամանակն ապացուցեց, որ օրվա իշխանությունը թքած ունի իր հռչակած հեղափոխական արժեքների վրա և առաջնորդվում է բացառապես նեղ խմբակային շահերով։ Միակ հարցը, որ իմաստ ունի քննարկել այս իշխանության հետ, մեկն է՝ հեռացնել երևանցիների առողջության ու գրպանի վրա արդեն իսկ չափազանց թանկ նստած պսևդոքաղաքապետին»,- ասվում է հայտարարությունում:

Երևանի ավագանու իշխող ուժը փետրվարի 5-ի արտահերթ նիստում պատրաստվում է մանդատից զրկել հինգ ընդդիմադիրների՝ «Ազգային առաջընթաց» խմբակցության անդամ, նախկին քաղաքապետ Հայկ Մարությանին, «Մայր Հայաստան»-ից Նարինե Հայրապետյանին, Զարուհի Փոստանջյանին, Սոնա Աղեկյանին և Գևորգ Ստեփանյանին։

Իշխող «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագիր» և «Հանրապետություն» խմբակցությունների հեղինակած նախագծի հիմնավորումների մեջ նշվում է, որ ավագանու անդամները նիստերի քվեարկությունների կեսից ավելիին չեն մասնակցել։
