Մայիսի 11-ին՝ ժամը 17:21-ին (Գրինվիչի ժամանակով ժամը 13։21-ին) ՀՀ ՆԳՆ Սեյսմիկ պաշտպանության տարածքային ծառայության սեյսմոլոգիական ցանցի կողմից օջախի 10 կմ խորությամբ, 5,0 մագնիտուդով երկրաշարժ է գրանցվել Ադրբեջան՝ Լենքորան քաղաքից 17 կմ հյուսիս:

Էպիկենտրոնային գոտում ստորգետնյա ցնցման ուժգնությունը կազմել է 6-7 բալ:

Երկրաշարժը զգացվել է Սյունիքի մարզի Կապան, Քաջարան, Ագարակ, Մեղրի քաղաքներում, Ալվանք, Նռնաձոր և Շվանիձոր գյուղերում՝ 4 բալ ուժգնությամբ։
