Սարդարապատի հուշակոթողի առջև պետական նենգամիտ սադրանքով տեղի ունեցած անպատկառության ու խայտառակության առնչությամբ ՀՀ վարչապետի այսօրվա մեկնաբանությունն անպարկեշտ է, ավելին՝ անհեթեթ, երբեք ոչ վայել պետական բարձրագույն գործչին:

Թող քաջ գիտակցեն ամենքը, որ որևէ մեկը՝ շարքային ուժայինից մինչև պետության վերին իշխանավոր, իրավունք չունի խոչընդոտելու կամ կանգնեցնելու Ամենայն Հայոց Հայրապետի շարժն ու այցը. հայ իրականության մեջ միշտ բաց պետք է լինեն բոլոր վայրերն ու դռները Հայոց Հայրապետի առջև, և այդ ամենը խնամքով ու պատկառանքով պետք է ապահովեն ու իրագործեն հենց պետական գործիչներն ու ծառայողները:

Քանի որ մեր Հայրենի երկրում մեր Սբ Եկեղեցին մարմնավորում է պետության խիղճը, Սբ Եկեղեցին է բարոյական ըմբռնումների և հոգևոր բարձրագույն արժեքների կրողն ու քարոզիչը, իսկ Ամենայն Հայոց Հայրապետն էլ անձնավորում է բովանդակ Հայոց Եկեղեցին»,-
