Հայաստանը դարձավ 43-րդ երկիրը, որը պաշտոնապես միացավ ՆԱՍԱ-ի Արտեմիս համաձայնագրին։ Այս մասին հայտնում են Հայաստանի Հանրապետության Բարձր տեխնոլոգիական արդյունաբերության նախարարությունից՝ մանրամասնելով, որ Արտեմիսի համաձայնագիրը ստորագրվել է հունիսի 12-ին Վաշինգտոնում՝ ՆԱՍԱ-ի գլխամասում։

Հայաստանը ներկայացրել է ՀՀ բարձր տեխնոլոգիական արդյունաբերության նախարար Մխիթար Հայրապետյանը, միջոցառմանը մասնակցել է նաև ԱՄՆ-ում ՀՀ արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Լիլիթ Մակունցը։

Բացման խոսքում ՆԱՍԱ-ի ղեկավար Բիլ Նելսոնը ջերմորեն ողջունել է Արտեմիսի համաձայնագրին միանալու Հայաստանի որոշումը՝ ընդգծելով գիտության, տիեզերական հետազոտության, աստղագիտության ոլորտներում Հայաստանի՝ պատմականորեն արձանագրած մեծ նվաճումները։

Նախարար Հայրապետյանն, ընդգծելով ՀՀ-ի և ԱՄՆ-ի երկարամյա գործընկերությունը, նշել է, որ այս իրադարձությունը մեծ քայլ է երկու երկրների միջև գիտության, մասնավորապես, տիեզերական հետազոտության ոլորտում համագործակցության ընդլայնման համատեքստում:«Բարդ ժամանակները մեզ ստիպում են փնտրել նոր հնարավորություններ, գտնել նորարար լուծումներ՝ մեր հայացքը ուղղելով դեպի վեր՝ Տիեզերք, որտեղ չկան սահմաններ. երազելու, մեծ երազանքներն իրականացնելու համար այն բացառիկ հնարավորություն է։ Մարդու՝ Լուսին վերադարձի ու Լուսնից այն կողմ ճանապարհորդության մասին այս նախաձեռնությանը միանալով՝ Հայաստանը դարձավ տիեզերքի կայուն և խաղաղ հետազոտության մեծ տիեզերական ընտանիքի անդամ», - նշել է Մխիթար Հայրապետյանը։
