«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը գրում է. «Երեկ տեղի է ունեցել Ազգային ժողովի 2016 թվականի ապրիլյան պատերազմի հանգամանքները քննող հանձնաժողովի նիստը, որին երկրորդ անգամ հրավիրվել էր ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի խորհրդական Արշակ Կարապետյանը, որը 2016 թվականի ապրիլյան պատերազմի ժամանակ զբաղեցնում էր  Զինված ուժերի գլխավոր շտաբի հետախուզական վարչության նախկին պետի պաշտոնը, ապա ազատվել էր Սերժ Սարգսյանի հրամանով: «Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթի տեղեկություններով, Կարապետյանին երկրորդ անգամ հանձնաժողով հրավիրելու պատճառները թաքնված են Սերժ Սարգսյանի այցի հետ: Բանն այն է, որ ապրիլի 16-ին հանձնաժողովի նիստում Սերժ Սարգսյանը խոսել էր նաև հակահետախուզության մասին և հանձնաժողովին նոր տեղեկություն է տրամադրել այդ օրերի իրադարձությունների հետ կապված, ինչի համար էլ հանձնաժողովականների մոտ շատ հարցեր են առաջացել և նրանք որոշել են կրկին հանձնաժողով հրավիրել Կարապետյանին: Մենք տեղեկացանք, որ երեկվա հանդիպման ժամանակ նրանից հետաքրքրվել են Սերժ Սարգսյանի նոր հայտարարությունների շուրջ և պարզաբանումներ պահանջել, ինչին ի պատասխան վերջինս շատ պատրաստական ներկայացրել է տեղի ունեցածը և պատասխանել հարցերին: «Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը տեղեկացավ, որ հանձնաժողովի անդամների համար շատ մեծ դժգոհության տեղիք է տվել, որ արդեն երրրոդ նիստն է՝ ինչ բացակայում են «Լուսավոր Հայաստան» խմբակցության պատգամավորներ Գևորգ Գորգիսյանն ու Ռուբիկ Ստեփանյանը: Հանձնաժողովականներից շատերի կարծիքով, այս հանձնաժողովի նիստը քաղաքական բնույթ չի կրում, անվտանգության հարցերի համար է ստեղծված և բոլորի համար տարակուսելի է եղել ընդդիմադիրների նման պահվածքը»:
