«Մեդիա պաշտպան» նախաձեռնությունն ահազանգում է, որ Արցախի հանրապետության տարածքում դադարեցվել է «5-րդ ալիք», «Շողակաթ», «Ա-թիվի» եւ եւս երկու հեռուստաընկերությունների հեռարձակումը: Այս առնչությամբ նախաձեռնության տարածած հայտարարության մեջ ասվում է. «Ըստ ԼՂՀ նախագահի մամուլի խոսնակ Վահրամ Պողոսյանի լրատվամիջոցներին տրված մեկնաբանության` «խնդիրը զուտ տեխնիկական է: Խոսքը 5 ալիքների մասին է, որոնցից երեքը երեւանյան են, երկուսը՝ այլ, մարզական եւ երաժշտական: Խնդիրները վերականգնելուն պես այդ ալիքների հեռարձակումը կշարունակվի»։ «Մեդիա պաշտպան» նախաձեռնությունը լիահույս է, որ Արցախի տարածքում հայկական հեռուստաընկերությունների հեռարձակման դադարեցումը քաղաքական որեւէ նպատակ չի հետապնդում եւ խոսքի ազատության դեմ ուղղված քայլ չէ։ Ցավալի կլինի, եթե Արցախի Հանրապետության նորընտիր նախագահ Արայիկ Հարությունյանի պաշտոնավարումը մեկնարկի լրատվամիջոցների ազատ գործունեության եւ խոսքի ազատության դեմ ուղղված քայլերով։ Որպես ժամանակակից ժողովրդավարական պետություն՝ Արցախի Հանրապետությունը մշտապես ժողովրդավարության սկզբունքների ամրագրման եւ խոսքի ազատության արժեքի գերակայության ապահովման օրինակ է ծառայել: Հուսով ենք` այս գործընթացն անշրջելի է: Հակառակ դեպքում` մեծ հարված է հասցվելու միջազգային ճանաչման խնդիր ունեցող Արցախի Հանրապետության հեղինակությանը, որպես ժամանակակից ժողովրդավարական պետություն, որի համար լրատվամիջոցների ազատ գործունեությունը եւ խոսքի ազատությունը կարեւորագույն արժեքներ են: «Մեդիա պաշտպան» նախաձեռնությունը լիահույս է, որ խնդիրն իրոք տեխնիկական է, եւ մոտ օրերս եթերից հեռացված հեռուստաընկերությունների հեռարձակումը Արցախի Հանրապետության տարածքում կվերականգնվի: Մենք ուշի ուշով հետեւելու ենք իրադարձությունների զարգացմանը եւ հետամուտ ենք լինելու տեխնիկական խնդիրների հնարավորիս արագ լուծման գործընթացին: Անհրաժեշտության դեպքում հանդես կգանք լրացուցիչ հայտարարություններով եւ ստեղծված իրավիճակի մասին հանրությանն ու մեդիաների ազատ գործունեությունը պաշտպանող մասնագիտացված կոռույցներին անհրաժեշտ տեղեկատվություն կտրամադրենք:
