Երեկ Ազգային ժողովում ունեցած ելույթի ընթացքում Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը մի շարք ռեզոնանսային հայտարարություններով է հանդես եկել՝ այդ թվում հայտարարելով, որ ընտրություններ կեղծած և ժողովրդի կամքի վրա բռնացած քաղաքական ուժերը պետք է արգելվեն օրենքով: Դահլիճից վարչապետին արձագանքեցին, որ այդ ուղղությամբ արդեն իսկ մշակվում են օրենսդրական մեխանիզմներ: 


Մի կողմ դնենք այն հարցը, որ քաղաքական ուժերի գործունեությունը արգելելը, դրանք փակելը որևէ աղերս չունի իրեն ժողովրդավարության բաստիոն հռչակած երկրի հետ, սակայն ուշագրավ է մեկ այլ հանգամանք: Ինքը՝ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը, բազմիցս իր ելույթների ընթացքում հայտարարել է, որ Հայաստանում 1991 թվականից սկսած կեղծվել են ընտրություններ: Թերևս, նա նկատի ուներ նաև 95-96 թվականների հայտնի իրադարձությունները, որոնք այլ կերպ, քան ժողովրդի կամքի վրա բռնանալ չես էլ անվանի: Հիմա ի՞նչ է ստացվում. Փաշինյանը պատրաստ է կասեցնել, արգելել ՀԱԿ-ի տյունինգ եղած ՀՀՇ-ի և այն բոլոր կուսակցությունների գործունեությունը, որոնք այդ ընթացքում բռնացել են ժողովրդի կամքի վրա: Եթե Փաշինյանը աչքաթող անի Լևոն Տեր-Պետրոսյանի կուսակցությանը, որի մի մասն է ժամանակին կազմել, ապա հասկանալի է՝ Փաշինյանի խնդիրը ոչ թե ընտրակեղծարարներին պատժելն է, այլ մեկ-երկու քաղաքական հակառակորդի հետ հաշվեհարդար տեսնելը: 

Այսօր էլ արդեն Փաշինյանը խոսում էր 30 տարվա կոռուպցիոներների մասին: Հարց է առաջանում՝ 30 տարի ասելով Փաշինյանը նկատի ունի՞ նաև Լևոն Տեր-Պետրոսյանին և վերջինիս թիմակիցներին, որովհետև նրանցից շատերը, կամ նրանց զավակները այսօր Փաշինյանի իշխանության մի մասն են կազմում՝ զբաղեցնելով տարբեր պաշտոններ:
