Հարվարդի համալսարանի և Բեռլինի «Շարիտե» բժշկական հաստատության պրոֆեսոր Տոբիաս Քուրթը բացատրել է Գերմանիայում կորոնավիրուսից մահացության մասին վիճակագրությունը: Երկիրը պաշտոնապես ունի մահվան 108 դեպք COVID-19- ից՝ մեկ միլիոն մարդու հաշվով: Սա աշխարհում ամենացածր ցուցանիշներից մեկն է: «Մենք ժամանակ ունեինք նախապատրաստվելու համաճարակին: Մեր առողջապահական համակարգը արդեն լավ պատրաստված էր, բայց մենք այն ավելի ուժեղացրեցինք», - ասել է Քուրթը RBC-ին տված հարցազրույցում:
Պրոֆեսորը նաև նշել է, որ գերմանական իշխանությունները կարողացել են արագորեն նվազեցնել վիրուսի տարածումը համաճարակի վաղ փուլերում՝ դրանով իսկ խուսափելով տարեց մարդկանց վարակակրությունից: Ըստ գիտնականի՝ Գերմանիայում կորոնավիրուսից ցածր մահացությունը կապված է մշակույթի և հասարակության առանձնահատկության հետ: Մասնավորապես, գերմանացիների մի քանի սերունդ հազվադեպ է նույն տանը ապրում ընտանիքի մյուս անդամների հետ: «Եվրոպայի հարավային երկրներում տարեցները ավելի ինտեգրված են, հաճախ բնակվում են նույն տան մեջ՝ ընտանիքի մյուս անդամների հետ: Հետևաբար, եթե գոնե մեկ ընտանիքի անդամ վարակված լինի, ապա վիրուսը մյուսներին փոխանցելու ռիսկը մեծանում է, իսկ տարեցները մահվան բարձր ռիսկի գոտում են», - ասել է համաճարակաբանը:
