ՀԱՊԿ գլխավոր քարտուղար Ստանիսլավ Զասը հայտարարել է, որ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում իրավիճակի կարգավորման համար ՀԱՊԿ խաղաղապահներին ներգրավելու հարցն այժմ օրակարգում չկա:

Գլխավոր քարտուղարը նշել է նաև, որ ՀԱՊԿ-ն նախատեսում է այս տարի իր խաղաղապահ առաքելությունը ՄԱԿ-ում ընդգրկելու համար անհրաժեշտ իրավական աշխատանքներն ավարտին հասցնել, իսկ մյուս տարի արդեն այս ուղղությամբ կոնկրետ բանակցություններ կանցկացվեն։ 
 
Զասը հիշեցրել է, որ ՀԱՊԿ-ի հիմնական նպատակն է ոչ թե ռազմական, այլ քաղաքական միջոցներով ապահովել միջազգային խաղաղության ու տարածաշրջանային անվտանգության ամրապնդումն ու պահպանումը: Այս նպատակով կան լավ պատրաստված ստորաբաժանումներ, որոնք ունակ են լուծել խաղաղապահ խնդիրներ, հակամարտող կողմերին առանձնացնելու պայմաններ ստեղծել, բանակցային գործընթաց սկսել և, ընդհանուր առմամբ, խաղաղություն հաստատել:
 
ՀԱՊԿ գլխավոր քարտուղարը շեշտել է նաեւ, որ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում իրավիճակի լուծման գործում ՀԱՊԿ խաղաղապահներին ներգրավելու հարց օրակարգում չէ: Հայաստանն ու Ադրբեջանը, ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի երկրները ուղղակիորեն մասնակցում են իրավիճակի կարգավորմանը,- ասել է նա
