Թուրքիայում ատելության խոսքն ու հայերի նկատմամբ սպառնալիքներն ակտիվացել են Արցախի և Հայաստանի դեմ Ադրբեջանի սանձազերծած ռազմական գործողություններից ֆոնին:

Թուրքիայի ազգային ժողովի հայ պատգամավոր Գարո Փայլանը թուրքական «Դուվարի»-ին տված հարցազրույցում ընդգծել է, որ Թուրքիայի իշխող «Արդարություն և զարգացում» կուսակցությունը երկրում ստեղծել է «ատելության սովորական մթնոլորտ»:

Լրատվամիջոցը նկատել է, որ Գարո Փայլանը ևս թիրախավորվում է Թուրքիայում՝ հրադադարի կողմնակիցը լինելու, խաղաղության կոչի համար:

Փայլանը նշել է, որ Թուրքիայում ապրում են տարբեր ինքնություններ, տարբեր հավատք և համոզմունք ունեցող քաղաքացիներ: «Սակայն ներկայիս վարչակազմը, ցավոք, շարունակում է վարել իր ազգայնական, ռասիստական և կրոնական ուղղվածություն ունեցող քաղաքականությունը», - նշել է Փայլանը:

Այն ժամանակ, երբ Թուրքիայի կառավարությունը կանգնած է Ադրբեջանի կողքին՝ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում ընթացող պատերազմում, Թուրքիայում հայերը հայտնվել են ատելության խոսքի և սպառնալիքների թիրախում: «Այսպիսի մթնոլորտում, երբ Թուրքիան Ադրբեջանի կողմն է և երբ հայերի դեմ ատելության խոսք է կիրառվում, մենք աղավնու անհանգստություն ենք զգում, ինչպես ասել էր սիրելի Հրանտ Դինքը: Ցավոք, այս օրերին մենք աղավնու ամենախորը անհանգստությունն ենք ապրում», - ասել Փայլանը ՝ վկայակոչելով Դինքի կողմից սպանությունից առաջ գրված վերջին հոդվածի խորհրդանշական հատվածը: Փայլանը նկատել է, որ պատերազմի արդյունքում տուժում, տառապում են խաղաղ բնակիչներ, և նա հարցի լուծումը տեսնում է խաղաղության սեղանին:
