ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի արտաքին հարաբերությունների հանձնաժողովի անդամ Բրեդ Շերմանը նամակ է հղել Ադրբեջանում Միացյալ Նահանգների դեսպան Լի Լիցենբերգերին՝ պատասխաններ պահանջելով օրերս ադրբեջանական պատկան մարմինների կողմից հրապարակված մի հաղորդագրության առնչությամբ, համաձայն որի՝ այդ երկրում ԱՄՆ ներկայացուցիչը շնորհավորել է Ադրբեջանին «տարածքային ամբողջականությունը վերականգնելու» առնչությամբ:

Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ վկայակոչելով Հայ դատի հանձնախմբի պաշտոնական կայքը, Շերմանը նամակում նշել է. «2020 թվականի սեպտեմբերի 27-ին Ադրբեջանի ու Թուրքիայի զինված ուժերը հարձակում էին նախաձեռնել ընդդեմ Հայաստանի ու Արցախի, ինչի հետևանքով սպանվել է շուրջ 5000 հայ, իսկ ավելի քան 100 000 էթնիկ հայեր ստիպված լքել էին Ղարաբաղը:

Համաձայն Ադրբեջանի էկոնոմիկայի նախարարության կողմից հունվարի 27-ին հրապարակված հաղորդագրության՝ Ադրբեջանի էկոնոմիկայի նախարար Միքայիլ Ջաբարովի հետ հանդիպմանը Դուք շնորհավորել եք Ադրբեջանին «տարածքային ամբողջականությունը վերականգնելու» առթիվ և հայտնել եք ԱՄՆ պատրաստակամությունը՝ մասնակցելու պատերազմի արդյունքում Բաքվի վերահսկողության տակ հայտնված տարածքների վերակառուցման աշխատանքներին»

Կոնգրեսականը հիշեցրել է ամերիկացի դիվանագետին, որ ԱՄՆ-ը ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի գործընթացի ակտիվ անդամ է և պետք է շահագրգռվածություն ունենա արցախյան հակամարտության այնպիսի կարգավորման հարցում, որը կապահովի Արցախի անվտանգությունն ու կբացառի պատերազմի վերսկսումը:

Շերմանը բարձր է գնահատել ավելի վաղ ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Էնթոնի Բլինքենի արած հայտարարությունը, որում նա ընդգծել է, որ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում ռազմական վերջին գործողությունների առնչությամբ ԱՄՆ նոր ղեկավարությունը կվերանայի անվտանգության ոլորտում Ադրբեջանին տրամադրվող օգնությունն ու անհրաժեշտության պարագայում կկասեցնի այն: Միևնույն ժամանակ ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարը նշել էր, որ անհրաժեշտ հանգամանքների պարագայում իրենք պատրաստ են աշխատել Կոնգրեսի և պաշտպանության նախարարության հետ՝ որոշելու օգնության անհրաժեշտ չափը, որը կբավարարի Հայաստանի ու տարածաշրջանի անվտանգային կարիքներին:

«Դեսպան Լիցենբերգեր, Ադրբեջանի էկոնոմիկայի նախարարին արված Ձեր հայտարարությունները խիստ մտահոգիչ են և չեն համապատասխանում պետքարտուղար Բլինքենի՝ մինչև օրս արած հայտարարություններին: Հետևաբար, կուզեի պատասխանեք հետևյալ հարցերին.

  • Արդյո՞ք սա ԱՄՆ քաղաքականությունն է՝ գովելու Բաքվին ադրբեջանական ագրեսիայի հետևանքով սկսված վերջին պատերազմում ունեցած հաջողության առնչությամբ:
  • Արդյո՞ք ԱՄՆ քաղաքականությունը նպատակ ունի Ադրբեջանում ներդրումները խրախուսելով մարգինալացնել Արցախը»:

Ադրբեջանում ԱՄՆ դեսպանի հայտարարության առնչությամբ ավելի վաղ իր մտահոգությունն էր հայտնել նաև Հայ դատի ԱՄՆ հանձնախումբը:
