Առողջապահության համաշխարհային կազմակերպության Եվրոպայի տարածաշրջանային տնօրենը՝ Հանս Կլուգեն, հայտարարել է, որ կորոնավիրուսի համաճարակը կավարտվի 2022 թվականի սկզբին:

Հանս Կլուգեն Դանիայի պետական հեռուստաընկերությամբ հայտարարել է, որ COVID-19֊ը «դեռ 2021-ին տարածված կլինի, բայց ավելի կառավարելի կլինի, քան 2020-ին»: Պատճառն այն է, որ ավելի շատ տեղեկություններ կան վիրուսի մասին՝ համեմատած 2020 թվականի հետ, երբ առաջին անգամ սկսեց տարածվել։ «Ամենավատ սցենարներն այժմ ավարտվել են»,֊ասել է Կլուգեն: Նա, սակայն, խազգուշացրել է, որ ոչ ոք չի կարող նախապես իմանալ COVID-19 համաճարակի ապագան: «Վիրուսը շարունակելու է լինել, բայց չեմ կարծում, որ սահմանափակումներ պետք կլինեն: Սա, իհարկե, լավատեսական ուղերձ է», - ասել է Հանս Կլուգեն: Նա հավելել է, որ մուտացիաները նորմալ են, քանի որ վիրուսը փորձում է հարմարվել միջավայրին, բայց մուտացիաների արագ տարածումը մտահոգիչ է:
