Հանրապետության նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանը փետրվարի 27-ին հանդիպել է արցախյան պատերազմի ընթացքում անհետ կորածների ընտանիքների անդամների հետ: Հանդիպմանը ներկա են եղել նաև առողջապահության նախարար Անահիտ Ավանեսյանը, ՀՀ մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպան Արման Թաթոյանը, պաշտպանության նախարարի գլխավոր խորհրդական, գեներալ-մայոր Արթուր Սիմոնյանը: Անհետ կորածների հարազատները նրանց հետ հանդիպելու ցանկություն էին հայտնել Հանրապետության նախագահի աշխատակազմի ղեկավարի հետ օրեր առաջ կայացած հանդիպմանը: Այս մասին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից:

Հանդիպման մասնակիցները Հանրապետության նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանին խնդրել են օգտագործել իր միջազգային կապերն ու հեղինակությունը՝ աջակցելու անհետ կորած իրենց հարազատների որոնման գործընթացին: Նախագահ Սարգսյանը վստահեցրել է, որ իր հնարավորությունների շրջանակներում կանի հնարավոր ամեն ինչ՝ նշելով, որ գերիների ու անհետ կորածների հարցերը մշտապես իր ուշադրության կենտրոնում են, և նա դրանք բարձրացնում է միջազգային գործընկերների հետ իր բոլոր հանդիպումներում: Հարցը քննարկվել է նաև նախագահ Սարգսյանի և Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում տեղակայված ռուսական խաղաղապահ զորախմբի հրամանատար, գեներալ-լեյտենանտ Ռուստամ Մուրադովի՝ օրեր առաջ կայացած հանդիպմանը: «Բացի այդ, Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի՝ պարոն Թաթոյանի հետ միասին դիմելու ենք միջազգային տարբեր ինստիտուտների՝ թե՛ գերիների, թե՛ անհետ կորածների հարցերով: Ամեն հնարավոր ճանապարհով աշխատելու ենք: Ադրբեջանը մեր վիրավոր կամ առողջ գերիներին չպետք է գործարքի մաս դարձնի, դա անթույլատրելի է»:

Առողջապահության նախարարը, Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանը և ՊՆ ներկայացուցիչը ներկայացրել են անհետ կորածների որոնման ուղղությամբ կատարվող աշխատանքները, պատասխանել հանդիպման մասնակիցների հարցերին: Նախագահ Սարգսյանը նրանց առաջարկել է պարբերաբար անհետ կորածների հարազատներին տեղեկացնել կատարվող աշխատանքների ու իրավիճակի մասին: «Ես խորությամբ զգում եմ ձեր ցավը և պատրաստ եմ ամեն ինչով, իմ հնարավորությունների սահմաններում աջակցել»,-ասել է նախագահը՝ առաջարկելով, որ նրանք կապի մեջ լինեն նաև նախագահական ինստիտուտի հետ:

Հանրապետության նախագահը պատասխանել է նաև անհետ կորածների հարազատների հարցերին, լսել նրանց մտահոգությունները, տեսակետներն ու առաջարկությունները:
