Ապրիլի 22-ին Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում ընդունեց Լիբանանի Հանրապետության երիտասարդության և սպորտի նախարար Վարդինե Օհանյանին՝ ուղեկցությամբ Հայաստանում Լիբանանի արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան տիկին Մայա Դաղերի և Լիբանանում ՀՀ արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան տիար Վահագն Աթաբեկյանի:
Հանդիպմանը նախարար Օհանյանը Նորին Սրբությանը փոխանցեց Լիբանանի նախագահ Միշել Աունի ողջույններն ու բարեմաղթանքները՝ տեղեկացնելով, որ իբրև Լիբանանի նախագահի հատուկ ներկայացուցիչ Հայաստան է ժամանել մասնակցելու ապրիլի 24-ի՝ Հայոց ցաղասպանության հիշատակի արարողություններին: Նախարարն ընդգծեց նաև, որ լիբանանահայության համար ևս պատմական հայրենիքի առջև ծառացած մարտահրավերների ու խնդիրների լուծումն առաջնային է և հայ համայնքն իր հնարավորությունների սահմաններում փորձում է նպաստել դրանց հաղթահարմանը:
Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը, ողջունելով նախարար Վարդինե Օհանյանի այցը Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածին, իր գնահատանքը հայտնեց վերջինիս այս դժվարին ժամանակաշրջանում հայրենիք այցելության համար: Նորին Սրբությունը, անդրադառնալով երկու ժողովուրդներին պատուհասած արհավիրքներին, վստահություն հայտնեց, որ դրանք կհաղթահարեն Աստծու օգնականությամբ, լավատեսությամբ ու պատմական փորձառության շնորհիվ: Հայոց Հայրապետն իր հերթին ի դեմս նախարարի՝ իր ողջույններն ու բարեմաղթությունները փոխանցեց Լիբանանի նախագահին և կառավարությանը:
 
Ամենայն Հայոց Հայրապետը գոհունակությամբ հաստատեց, որ Լիբանանի իշխանությունները մշտապես աջակցել են Հայաստանին և բարձր գնահատել լիբանանահայ համայնքի գործունեությունն ի նպաստ Լիբանանի զարգացման ու առաջընթացի:
 
Նորին Սրբությունն իր երախտագիտությունը հայտնեց Լիբանանի բարեկամ ժողովրդին՝ ցեղասպանությունը վերապրած հայորդիներին իրենց երկրում ապաստան տալու և ազգային կյանքի վերակազմակերպմանն աջակցելու համար: Հայոց Հովվապետը վստահություն հայտնեց, որ երկու երկրների բարեկամությունը պիտի շարունակի նորանոր արդյունքներ գրանցել և առավել ամրապնդվել:
 
Հանդիպմանը անդրադարձ կատարվեց նաև լիբանանահայության կյանքին և դիմագրաված դժվարություններին՝ կարևոր նկատելով Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկիո Կաթողիկոսության առաքելությունը համայնքի պահպանման և զորացման գործում:
