Բացահայտումներ ծխելու իրական վնասի մասին

1964 թվականին ԱՄՆ գլխավոր վիրաբույժ Լյութեր Լ․Տերրիի խոսքերը ըստ որոնց ծխելը կապ ունի մի շարք հիվանդությունների առաջացման հետ ցնցեց հասարակությունը։ Հաջորդ տասնամյակի ընթացքում ծխողների թիվը նվազեց 10 միլիոնով։ Սա առաջին խոշոր իրադարձությունն էր, երբ մարդիկ գնահատական տվեցին բժշկական ուսումնասիրություններին ծխելու վտանգի հետ կապված։ Բայց ծխելու դեմ պայքարը սկսվել է 20-րդ դարի 50-ական թվականներից։ Սկզբում հիմնականում խոսվում էր, ծխելու ու ծանր հիվանդությունների հետ կապի մասին։ Արդյունքում սիգարետների տուփերի վրա առաջացան զգուշացնող գրություններ, սահմանափակումներ ծխողների համար։ Սակայն մինչև անցյալ դարի վերջ սիգարետը ժողովրդականության գագաթնակետին էր։

Ամբողջ աշխարհում ձեռնարկվում են կտրուկ միջոցներ ծխելը վերջնականապես վերացնելու ուղղությամբ։ Անկասկած դա շատ դժվար գործ է, բայց նպատակ կա, որին հետևում են ոչ միայն անհատ անձիք կամ կազմակերպություններ, այլ զարգացած ու առաջադեմ շատ պետություններ, որոնք իրենց գիտական ներուժը օգտագործում են բնակչությանը ամեն կերպ ծխելու վտանգների մասին հիմնավոր տեղեկություններ հաղորդելու համար։ Բացի ձեռնարկված միջոցներից, գիտական մեծ լաբորատորիաներ աշխատում են ծխելը թողնելոււ հեշտ տարբերակներ մշակելու համար։ Նման մի միջոց է մարկանց ծխելու վնասակար կողմերի հետ ծանոթացնելը։

Ծխելու վնասի հիմնական պատճառը

Տարիներ շարունակ մարդիկ հավատացել են, որ հիմնական վնասի պատճառը նիկոտինն է։ Վերջերս գիտական հետազոտությունները փաստում են, որ նիկոտինն առաջացնում է կախվածություն, սակայն չի հանդիսանում ծխելուց հիմնական վնասի պատճառ։ Զարմանալի է, բայց փաստ․ վնասն առաջանում է այրումից և դրա հետևանքով առաջացած ծխից ու խեժից։ Դա է պատճառը, որ մի շարք ընկերություններ ստեղծում են փոխարինիչ սարքեր, որոնք աշխատում են առանց այրման, հետևաբար նաև առանց ծխի ու խեժի։
