Վերջին շրջանում կլիմայի գլոբալ տաքացման հետևանքով մեծ արագությամբ հալվում են Արարատ լեռան սառույցներն ու ձյունը, ինչը լրջորեն անհանգստացրել է բնապահպաններին։ Տեղի ունեցածը կարող է լուրջ վնաս հասցնել Թուրքիայի տուրիզմին և հատկապես լեռնագնացությանը, գրում է ermenihaber.am-ը։

Ըստ թուրքական լրատվամիջոցների՝ շոգ եղանակի պատճառով Թուրքիայում հալչում է  անգամ Արարատ լեռան մշտական ձյունածածկ հատվածը։  Տեղի է ունենում նաև կեղտի և կեղտաջրի արտահոսք դեպի Արարատի լանջերին գտնվող գյուղեր։

Թուրք լեռնագնաց և ուղեկցորդ Մուսթաֆա Թեքինն, արձագանքելով թեմային, մտավախություն է հայտնել, որ ներկա սերունդը ականատես կլինի, թե ինչպես է ամբողջովին հալվելու Արարատի գագաթի ձյունը:

Նրա ահազանգում է՝ իրավիճակը ծայրահեղ վատ է: 

Արարատի մեծ և փոքր գագաթների բարձրությունը կազմում է 5165մ և 3925մ։ Թուրքիայում հաճախ Արարատն անվանում են «Թուրքիայի տանիք»։

Նշենք, որ թուրքերը փոխել են Արարատ լեռան անունը և իրենց քարտեզներում ու տեղեկագրերում նշում են «Աղրը դաղ»:
