Նիդերլանդների ԱԳ նախարարի պաշտոնակատար Բեն Կնապենը պատասխանել է օգոստոսի 6-ին խորհրդարանի պատգամավոր Դերկ յան Էպինկի հասցեագրած գրավոր հարցերին, որոնք վերաբերում են հայ ռազմագերիների և քաղաքացիական անձանց, ինչպես նաև ադրբեջանցի ընդդիմադիր գործիչների դատական վճիռների մեջ ներգրավված ադրբեջանցի դատավորներին և դատախազներին։

«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ նախարարը, մասնավորապես, հաստատել է ադրբեջանական դատարանների կողմից հայ ռազմագերիներին և այլ պահվող անձանց ապօրինի ազատազրկման դատապարտելու փաստը։ Ավելին, Բեն Կնապենը նշել է, որ իրազեկ է այդ նույն դատավորների ու դատախազների՝ ադրբեջանական ընդդիմադիր ՀԿ-ների սև ցուցակում ներառված լինելու փաստով։

Շարունակելով նույն թեման՝ նախարարը հիշատակել է Ադրբեջանի՝ մի շարք միաջազգային համաձայնագրերով ստանձնած պարտավորությունների մասին, որոնք նախատեսում են ազատազրկվածների նկատմամբ վերաբերմունքի ձևերը, նրանց պահման վայրերի պայմանները և հղում է արել տարբեր աղբյուրների, ըստ որոնց, Ադրբեջանի բանտերը չեն համապատասխանում միջազգային չափանիշներին։

Պատասխանելով Ադրբեջանում հայ ռազմագերիներին նկատմամբ անկախ դատական գործընթացների մասին հարցին՝ Բեն Կնապենը նշել է, որ, ընդհանուր առմամբ, այդ երկրում անկախ դատավարությունը և օրենքի գերակայությունը հարցականի տակ են, ինչի մասին են վկայում «Freedom House»-ի կողմից Ադրբեջանին տրված ցածր ցուցիչները։

Նախարարն իր նամակում ընդգծել է հայ գերիների անհապաղ ազատ արձակման կարևորությունը՝ հղում անելով ԵՄ հայտարարություններին։

Նիդերլանդների կողմից հավելյալ ճնշում բանեցնելու վերաբերյալ պատգամավորի հարցադրմանը նախարարն արձագանքել է՝ նշելով, որ ինչպես իր նախորդներն, ինքը ևս ջանքեր կգործադրի գերիների խնդիրը ԵՄ օրակարգում պահելու համար՝  այս ուղղությամբ առաջընթաց արձանագրելու նպատակով։
