Թավշյա հեղափոխությունից հետո Հայաստանում պաշտոնյաները պարբերաբար հայտնվում են այս կամ այն սկանդալի կիզակետում, աչքի են ընկնում իրենց աշխատանքային պարտականությունները թերի կատարելով, սակայն, նույնիսկ մտքի ծայրով էլ չեն մտածում զբաղեցրած պաշտոնից հրաժարվելու մասին: Ի տարբերություն մի շարք երկրների, որտեղ անգամ ամենաբարձր պաշտոնը զբաղեցնող անձինք՝ նախագահները և վարչապետերն, ընդունելով սեփական սխալները ու թերացումները, ինքնակամ հեռացել են և չեն կառչել իրենց աթոռներից:

Այժմ գանք Հայաստան. արդյո՞ք հրաժարական տալու հիմքեր ուներ և ունի Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը: Գրեթե չորս տարում չկատարված և ոչ մի խոստում, տնտեսական անկում, պարտված պատերազմ, հազարավոր զոհեր, շարունակվող զիջումներ և ստեր` թե՛ սեփական, թե՛ միջազգային հանրությանը: Մի շարք կոռուպցիոն ջրված սկանդալներ, որոնք կապվում էին ուղղակիորեն Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի անվան հետ: Պատերազմից հետո Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի հրաժարականի պահանջ էին ներկայացրել բազմաթիվ կառույցներ Հայաստանում և սփյուռքում՝ Մայր Բուհից մինչև Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցի և ԳՇ: Սակայն, Փաշինյանը համառորեն չի ցանկանում զիջել դիրքերը` ի տարբերություն իր վերը նշված գործընկերների, որոնց համար հանրային գնահատականը և պահանջը շատ ավելի կարևոր է գտնվել, քան սեփական աթոռն ամեն գնով պահպանելու մոլուցքը:
