Եվրախորհրդարանում Հարավային Կովկասի հետ հարաբերությունների հարցերով պատվիրակության ղեկավար Մարինա Կալյուրանդն իր մտահոգությունն է հայտնել Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում ստեղծված հումանիտար իրավիճակի վերաբերյալ, իր հայտարարության մեջ նա կոչ է արել արագ վերսկսել բանակցությունները:

«Մարտի 8-ին Լեռնային Ղարաբաղ գազ մատակարարող գազատարը վնասվել էր այն հատվածում, որը գտնվում է Ադրբեջանի վերահսկողության տակ: Չնայած ցուրտ պայմաններին, խողովակաշարը չի վերանորոգվել, և Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի ամբողջ բնակչությունը զրկված է գազամատակարարումից արդեն մեկ շաբաթ: Անհրաժեշտ է անխոչընդոտ մուտք ապահովել այն տարածք, որտեղ վնասված է գազատարը, որպեսզի որքան հնարավոր է շուտ վերականգնվի գազի մատակարարումը»,-նշել է Մարինա Կալյուրանդը:

Նրա խոսքով, միևնույն ժամանակ մարտի սկզբին եղան ինչպես Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի շփման գծի երկայնքով, այնպես էլ հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանին հրադադարի ռեժիմը խախտելու մասին տեղեկություններ, այդ թվում Ադրբեջանի կողմից Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի մի քանի գյուղերի ուղղությամբ ականանետային ռմբակոծությունների մասին հաղորդումներ:  Ըստ Մարինա Կալյուրանդի եղել են նաև տեղեկություններ այն մասին, որ վերջին շաբաթների ընթացքում ադրբեջանական բանակը բարձրախոսներով տեղի հայ բնակչությանը գյուղերը լքելու կոչեր է հնչեցրել՝ ուժեղացնելով հոգեբանական ճնշումը և ուժի կիրառման սպառնալիք:

«Ես լրջորեն մտահոգված եմ այս զարգացումներով և Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում հումանիտար իրավիճակով: Խստորեն դատապարտում եմ խաղաղ բնակչության դեմ ուղղված ցանկացած թշնամական գործողություն։ Ես կրկնում եմ շուտափույթ բանակցությունների վերսկսման իմ կոչը և հիշեցնում ԵՄ-ի պատրաստակամությունն ուժեղացնելու աջակցությունը վստահության ամրապնդման, հումանիտար և այլ խնդիրների լուծման համար»,-նշել է Մարինա Կալյուրանդը:
