Բելգիայի հայերի կոմիտեն հայտարարություն է տարածել, որում ասված է.

«Բելգիայի հայերի կոմիտեն  սարսափով տեղեկացել է, որ երեկ Բրյուսելի Անրի Միշո հրապարակում վանդալիզմի է ենթարկվել Հայոց Ցեղասպանության զոհերի ոգեկոչման խաչքար հուշարձանը: Ինչպես երևում է լուսանկարում, հուշարձանը ներկվել է բոլորիս հայտնի ալ կարմիր երեք կիսալուսիններով։ Կոմիտեն խստորեն դատապարտում է պղծումը, որը կատարվել է 1915 թվականի ցեղասպանության զոհերի ոգեկոչման ապրիլ քսանչորսյան հիշատակի օրվա հաջորդ օրը: 

Այս արարքը կարող է մեկնաբանվել միայն որպես թշնամանքի արտահայտություն և փորձ՝ վախեցնելու ծագումով հայ բելգիացիներին, որոնց մեծ մասը սերում է ցեղասպանության զոհ դարձած ընտանիքների հատուկենտ փրկվածներից։ Ակնհայտորեն, Հայոց ցեղասպանության ժխտումը Թուրքիայի Հանրապետության իշխանությունների և դրան առնչվող տեղական ու միջազգային ասոցիացիաների, այլ երկրների տեղական կառավարման մարմիններում ընտրված ծագումով թուրք պետպաշտոնյաների խիստ հակահայկական նախապաշարմունքի ամենատարածված դրսևորումն է՝ ինչպես Բելգիայում, այնպես էլ՝ այլուր: Պղծված հուշարձանի վրա ընթեռնելի է նաև թուրքական խորհրդարանի ծագումով հայ պատգամավոր Կարո Փալյանին ուղղված հայհոյախառն անգլերեն արտահայտությունը՝ 《Fuck Palyan》: Պետք է նշել, որ Կարո Փայլանը պարբերաբար է հայտնվում է թուրք ազգայնականների թիրախում։ 

Հանուն միասին ապրելու և ռասայական խտրականության բոլոր ձևերի դեմ թիրախային պայքարի` Բելգիայի Հայերի Կոմիտեն կոչ է անում հասարակական ու պետական գործիչներին, կառավաման մարմիններին, ասոցիացիաներին ի գիտություն ընդունել ատելության հրահրման այս կամայական և ուղղորդված դրսևորումը, այն է՝ Հայոց ցեղասպանության ժխտումը և հայերի նկատմամբ ատելության նախապաշարմունքը: Սույն դատապարտելի զանցանքի կրկվելուց խուսափելու համար` մենք մասնավորապես կոչ ենք անում թուրք համայանքային կազմակերպություներին դատապարտել այս արարքը։ Կոմիտեն պատրաստակամ է նաև այս տեսանկյունից համագործակցել բոլոր նրանց հետ, ովքեր կդատապարտեն ժխտողականությունը»:
