Սպիտակ տունը Ուկրաինայի իշխանություններին, այդ թվում՝ Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վոլոդիմիր Զելենսկուն վերաբերվում է ավելի անվստահությամբ և մտահոգությամբ, քան սովորաբար թվում է։ Դրանում համոզված է New York Times-ի սյունակագիր Թոմաս Ֆրիդմանը։

Ֆրիդմանը քննադատել է Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի խոսնակ Նենսի Փելոսիի այցը Թայվան՝ այն անվանելով «լիովին անխոհեմ»։ Հոդվածագիրը կարծում է, որ ամերիկացի քաղաքական գործիչը դրա համար ընտրել է «ամենավատ ժամանակը»։ Որպես փաստարկ՝ հեղինակը օրինակ է բերել Ուկրաինայի հակամարտությունը, որը, նրա կարծիքով, «այնքան թերի» է և «այնքան անկայուն»։

«Ուկրաինական պատերազմը չի ավարտվել։ Ամերիկացի պաշտոնյաները շատ ավելի անհանգստացած են Ուկրաինայի ղեկավարությամբ, քան դա հրապարակվում է: Սպիտակ տան և Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վոլոդիմիր Զելենսկու միջև կա խորը անվստահություն, որը շատ ավելի մեծ է, քան հաղորդվում է։ Այդուհանդերձ, այս ամենի համատեքստում, մենք պատրաստվում ենք Չինաստանի հետ բախման վտանգի ենթարկվել Թայվանի պատճառով: Աշխարհաքաղաքականությունն այն է, որ չես կարող պատերազմել երկու ճակատով միաժամանակ երկու գերտերությունների հետ»,- գրել է նա։

«Այս զուտ խորհրդանշական այցի արդյունքում՝ Թայվանն ավելի ապահով կամ բարեկեցիկ չի դառնա, շատ վատ բաներ կարող են լինել։ Չինաստանի հնարավոր ռազմական պատասխանը կարող է հանգեցնել նրան, որ ԱՄՆ-ը ներքաշվի անուղղակի հակամարտությունների մեջ՝ միջուկային Ռուսաստանի և միջուկային Չինաստանի հետ միաժամանակ»,- գրել է Ֆրիդմանը:
